And in the Hebrew scriptures it says:

Joel 3:4-5

The sun shall turn into darkness and the moon blood. But everyone who invokes the name of the Lord shall escape as promised, For there shall be a remnant on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, as the Lord promised. Anyone who invokes the Lord will be among the survivors.

>>The Lord is G-d Adonai, anyone who invokes that name will be among the survivors<<

4:2-3

For lo! in those day and in that time, When I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all nations and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat.

There I will contend with them over my very own people Israel, which they scattered among the nations. For they divided my land among themselves and cast lots over my people, and they bartered a boy for a *****, and sold a girl for wine which they drank.

>> The enemies of Judah (the nations) will be judged and Israel will be restored is how this is read<<

Joel is dated to the Persian period 539-332 BCE, most likely the period 400-350 BCE.

It is a prophetic book and concerns divine judgement against Judah, but also has divine forgiveness, and restoration of Judah, then judgement and calamity of the enemies of Judah.

Finn, it was really beautiful. Honestly. Not something you see too often, unless you're like 1000 years old.

Finn, I look at not getting up for this a lot like not getting up for the Perseid meteor showers. Now I did happen to be awake for the eclipse, but notice how most of the cool stuff doesn't happen til around 4 or 5 am? I'd rather sleep.

You can likely find a film of it on the web - probably on Youtube and perhaps CNN and some astrology sites. I do believe that we are close to the Day of the Lord, but I do not have the desire or energy to discuss it with anyone. Each of us will give an account of our thoughts and actions to the Lord Jesus Christ. Knowing that should keep us plenty humble. This world is not going to continue in its corrupt state, thank God!

Actually the next total lunar eclipse if only a few months away - but you'll have to do some traveling is you live in the U.S. Lunar Eclipses for Beginners

I've seen a few and I'm barely a half century old

To me, this sounds like there would be a day when there is a solar eclipse- sun to darkness
and then that night there would be a lunar eclipse- moon to blood
So when does that happen?
That would be really cool to see.
