Yes, it is the worship of the beast. Anyone with a lick of common sense knows that using fear to control people is considered extortion. To equate that to the work of the most high God is just plain blasphemy. Amazingly, Satan has managed to set himself up in the place of God in the most abominable way imaginable and demand to be worshiped as God! And the majority of Christians demand that others worship in this manner (or else!). It's astonishing.

If God says that He does what is fair, then He also wants us to learn His ways. If something doesn't seem fair, there's nothing wrong with asking.

And if an answer cannot be given without getting angry, what does that tell us?

Blessings,

Asking is one thing, not accepting the answer is another.

Jesus quailified 1Tim 2:4 that "all" isn't "all inclusive". The UR camp has a problem with that.
Either a person accepts that when told or continues to be antagonistic.

Which at that point God warns:

Isaiah 45:9
“Woe to him who quarrels with his Maker, to him who is but a potsherd among the potsherds on the ground

You guys are like fish out of water ..... constantly flopping around with idiotic non sense accusations of like "your God is a God of hate if he does" then pulling this aghast

What is comes down to is that either:

You have the authority over Jesus on who get eternal life
or
Jesus has the authority over you on who gets eternal life

UR rejects Jesus' authority on who get eternal life

Orthodox Christianity believes Jesus has that authority on who get eternal life

Root cause for bad fruit = unbelief. If he had been saved, he would not have been there. It is as simple as that.

I disagree; reading romans 5 gives me quite a clear picture that Jesus Christ has recovered all that Adam lost.

I think the problem is taking Jesus' words as the final say. The apostles had a deeper understanding than what you can get from Jesus' words in the gospels. If you focus on the gospels only, you get stuck.

Blessings,
brian

The Orthodox View of Hell is correct in that Hell is a place of Conscious Everlasting Torment

Wouldn't that make you guilty of fear tactics too, talking about age-during punishment and all. It is very scary.

PS You and your friend are accusing believers of Christ of Satan worship. This is what I meant on the other thread when I said you, and other URs talk love, but demonstrate the opposite.

It could be the rich man dressed in purple and fine linen is representative of the Jewish priests who would not lift a finger to help those in distress. Purple and fine linen always represented the priestly caste. They tied heavy loads on the weak.

Yes, it could be since purple was indeed a royal color, but it does not change the message one way or the other. A Jewish priest can be just as guilty of bearing the fruits of unbelief as anyone else.

Wrong again, Finn . . . age-during consequences (not punishments) . . . based on reaping what was sowed.

Continually wrong, Finn . . we NEVER accuse "believers in Christ" of Satan worship . . stop lying or deliberately misrepresenting what we say. Now the "believers in Jehovah" as He is presented by our primitive ancestors . . . there are some descriptions of Satan if ever there were any.

It was said in the parable at the end that even if one should rise from the dead they would not believe. How did Jesus know they would not believe even if He rose from the dead? He knew they would not because He already said God hardened their heart, blinded their eyes and stopped up their ears so they could not.

That's another reason why Christ said He only spoke to them in parables (see Matthew 13:13). That blinding began in Isaiah's day. Paul quoted the Isaiah verse as well to the blinded Jews who could not believe.

So what does that tell you?
