though, if you're don't end up spending eternity walking on clouds and playing a harp. I believe it's going to be a whole lot more interesting than that!
Hey, don't knock walking on clouds with a harp for eternity! For ultra-type B personalties like me cruising the universe with my harp in tow is quite a step-up from sitting in front of my computer all day!

"That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

And IF Christ in you, the body dead because of sin; but the Spirit life because of righteousness.

The body will die regardless, because of sin. Everyone agrees with this, correct? But, at the same time,,,when we sinned, we died spiritually. Like Adam, like everyone. Does anyone disagree with this?

Only when we put Jesus Christ as the center of our lives, and Christ lives in us,,,do we have Life through His Righteousness. Born-Again.

So, pray tell me this. What happens to the body, and the spirit, when you DO NOT have life? When you DO NOT have Christ in YOU? Does the spirit then live, and is reborn? Created anew? The body? If the answer is no, then annihilation is the Truth.

If you can show me where a person who is dead both in body and spirit, without Christ, in scripture, where they are resurrected and given this second chance, or purified, or live in another 'age'? Anyone? Don't throw verses out about every knee bowing, because I will pull out Isa 66:23-24 out. And the words of Jesus, also.

Only those pertaining to this 'other' chance at life, without Christ at the Head first.
Ys --- I disagree that people die spiritually

So what happened when you sinned the first time?

What happened to Adam? Did he die immediately?

I know brother. I was being a smart-alec.

That is why I posted the verse along with the statement.

We are told that first is the natural --- then spiritual (not spiritual then natural then spiritual again)

1Co 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
1Co 15:46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
1Co 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
1Co 15:48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
1Co 15:49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

Romans 7 seems to be to those that know the law -- Jewish law, - I do not believe it is talking about babies having a spirit then the spirit dying when they commit their first sin

Once again, I will explain this. Did Adam die when he ate the fruit? No. Was he banished from the Garden of Eden so that he could not partake of the Tree of Life? Yes. Ergo, he died spiritually.

Funny how you started quoting 1st Corinthians chapter 15 starting with verse 45, when verses 42-44 explain whhat those verses you quoted are referring to. It is talking about the resurrection, not death. Verses 20-23 explain the order of resurrection, beginning with Christ. But, as we can plainly see in verse 50, this is NOT talking about flesh and blood. So, then what IS it talking about? Well, verse 44, which you omitted, explains it.

Oh, thank you, sparrow. Your life has stengthened me, too. I am blessed by your story of forgiveness. Even though it was so very hard to lose a child, my heart was encouraged that so many people tried to help him. If someone hurt my loved one on purpose, I hope that I could allow God to grant me the ability to forgive the way you have.

That is so beautiful to think about.

Y'know, it makes me realize that what helped me to forgive, was those who showed me love and forgiveness. Those who "kept no record of my wrongs" and forgave ME.
Love truly is the MOST powerful thing..
Love Conquers All.
God IS Love.

I guess it really takes seeing it in action to truly start to grasp the concept. Perhaps that is why so many don't believe in the power of love. Perhaps that is why there are so many that don't yet see it. That's why we are to love our neighbor as ourselves.
The more people see love in action, the more they will BELIEVE in it.
Amen, sis?

love ya,
sparrow
