He said to them, "The secret about the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside, everything comes in parables so that 'they may see clearly but not perceive, and they may hear clearly but not understand, otherwise they might turn around and be forgiven." - Mark 4:11-12

This is why I speak to them in parables: “Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand." Matthew 13:13

Yes makes perfect sense. Instead of speaking clearly, confuse them so they will burn in agony forever.

Apparently Christ wanted those on the outside to burn in hell forever, because that's just the kind of guy He is. Go figure.

Wasn't Jesus trying to keep the religious from hearing? That way they couldn't figure out how to flee from the wrath to come and be saved from judgment in 70 A.D. Something like that.

You actually think Jesus confused people so that they would end up in eternal torment?

This is worse than I thought. Egad.

No, Jesus wanted the masses to burn in hell. That's why He spoke in parables - so they wouldn't understand and be forgiven.

... wait for it ...

So you agree with the assessment that Jesus confused people so they would burn in hell?
