Nothing new from God's point of view , he's still tolerant and patience, just like he was with each one of us until his goodness in time lead us to repentance

Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance? Romans 2:4

I would appreciate when you respond to someone else that you not add my name out of context.

I do not know your friend, you do not know me. You do not know what I think.

But I will tell you.

I believe in G-d.

I believe that G-d has a place for both Jew and Gentile.

I believe that we can be diverse in what we believe.

I believe that when you have such contempt you drive anyone away.

It makes me really sad to think that there are people who actually believe that the majority of the people of the world are going to hell, because to believe that you have the only truth and all others are condemned is absolutely beyond any reality I would ever want to be a part of.

You know Allen I have had G-d within me since I was a child. The same G-d Jesus worshiped when he was a child. The same G-d that Christians believe Jesus is.

G-d existed before Jesus.

Jesus read the same Torah I read.

Studied the same sages I learned about.

Jesus talked about love your neighbor.

He said do onto others as you want them to do onto you right?

Well in the Talmud it says what is hateful to you do not do to another. That sounds a lot like what Jesus said.

I am going to say a few things here and I hope the Mods allow it to stay.

First of all, I can handle Allen. I just back off because I know it is very easy to get a post deleted or edited around here and it would be just a waste of time to put him in his place properly. Sometimes, some things NEED to be said, but the mods don't always see it that way. Allen sounds like some kid who needs some more homework to do.

Secondly, I just wish people would stop being such cowards when they send their comments in the "rep" section. They know they can't get away with their snide comments here, but they put them over there and THEN chicken out and NOT put their names after their rant/criticism. They come in, throw their blind punch and take off. Own up and stop being a damn punk!

Let me say it again. I'm a thinking man. I live by critical thinking as we ALL do, hopefully. I realize this is the Christian forum and I realize that for SOME folks, they prefer the backslapping, "sit down, listen to the preacher, shut up and ask no questions" type forum. Well, I look at this forum as dual functioning. It functions as a Sunday morning church where all you do is listen to what someone has to say and toss in your occasional "amen," but it also functions as Tuesday night Bible study. I'm the unbelieving friend that came along with the Christian friend and I'm asking my questions and/or making my points as to why what I SEE and HEAR makes no sense.

I recall a night like this 25 years ago at our church when I was a Christian. We were having bible study on a Tuesday night and some stranger, visiting the island, was walking by and walked into the church. He was welcomed, given a bible and escorted to a seat. My pastor was presiding over the study. The stranger soon started asking some questions and all I remember was that my pastor was stumped and so was the rest of the audience. Their responses to him were weak, irrelevant and grasping. I recall, folks giving up and started telling him that regardless what he thinks or believes he HAS to accept Jesus and some even started praying out loud for him. As a young 15 year old, that experience stuck with me and now I see myself as that stranger.

You see, I don't know if some people realize, but there are points in religion that ARE debatable whether they want to believe it or not. I present them. It does NOT mean I am searching for anything. It simply means I want to take any particular Christian position (generally the position of the literalist), place it on the table of debate, express my doubt or issue with it, and leave it for whoever feel they can make a good argument in favor of it. They can leave it alone, refuse to participate or not click on the thread.

The interesting thing is, Christians [here] start the most "bait" topics. Take a good look to see what I mean. I don't criticize them nor can I care less. I'm an unbeliever so for some reason, I'm less credible with the questions even if I ask the same question another Christian might ask.

Boy was I wrong!!! (wouldn't be the first time)
The problem is that not everyone that claims to be believing is believing in the Truth. Until then, division is VERY GOOD.

as for Israel being saved....all in due time. It's all in God's plan.He does not forget.
That covenant is NOT with the physical Jews that occupy the nation Israel on the map today. The covenant that the Christian is to understand is one with the Spiritual Jew. So to the Christian, a Jew is one that has Christ living thru them. This New Covenant is a Spiritual Covenant. It is not caught up in physical things.

Jesus did not come to bring peace; He came to bring truth. The world's idea of peace is an abomination to God. The real children of God obey His voice when He says "Be ye separate" and "come out from among them" and "what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?".

I don't have a need to debate anything. I have my views, other people have their views, and there's room for all of them.

A thousand people, a thousand different views.
