So you are saying that incest is not objectively wrong nor contrary to the natural law, right?

Not when one is trying to start the human race.

One would have thought that an alleged omnipotent deity would have created more people in the first place!!

When the fable was written no one paid any attention to script continuity so these conflicts and impossible time-lines crept into the storyline.

This is very insightful, Ashe . . . they had no concept of linear time . . . as we take for granted today. We are so conditioned by clocks, watches, and cultural imperatives in linear sequential time that we simply cannot comprehend that it was not true for their culture and era. This is what makes these historical and sequence anomalies so pointless. They were important event-oriented . . . making sure they recorded the events they considered relevant. They were not important time sequence oriented . . . that was irrelevant. When combined with the fact that the scriptures are NOT intended to be historical treatises . . . but SPIRITUAL lessons (for instruction) . . . it tends to make this interesting thread quite beside the point . . . but enjoyable and informative reading for lurkers.

Non omnipotent humans would think so.

But why should He have created more people in the first place? He wanted all the human race to be related to Adam and what Adam did would affect the whole human race as a backdrop to show that the Second Adam, Jesus would affect the whole human race by what He did.

Read Romans 5:12,18,19; 1 Cor.15:22.

That just is incorrect that they did not use linear time back then. All their law was based on linear time. They knew exactly what day and month each feast day would fall on as well as each year of Jubilee (every 50 years) would fall on as well as the linear timing of what the Messiah would appear. They had to know what their holy days and Sabbaths and special Sabbaths would occur. Even the length of their lives as to how long they lived had to be kept track of in linear time.

This is a misunderstanding of the concept. They did not live with a mental focus on the sequence . . . just the events. But it is such a foreign concept to our modern conditioned mindset that you cannot even conceive of such a separation.

How do you understand the calendars of all the ancient civilizations then?

All the law of the Hebrews was based on scrutinizing days, months and years.
