I was doing some research on John Calvin and came across some information that he killed a man. Isn't John Calvin the father of the fundamental movement?

I'm curious as to what "churches" subscribe to the views of Calvin.

So did Moses and Paul.

Calvin's doctrine has killed a lot of men. I find his historical legacy quite distasteful. However, I'm not a big fan of Martin Luther either. These were very imperfect men who did not have as much light in their day as what we now have. That's just the way it is. We (collectively) need a lot of grace to right all the wrongs done throughout world history.

The Light is Christ, and Calvin had none, thank you.
Calvin was a cold hearted murderer, who murdered Sevetus, slowly and with much torture, through his own henchmen, because Servetus did not agree with Calvin's theology. But that is only one of Calvin's cold-blooded heartless, rebellious against Jesus Christ's commands, deeds.
God never gave the Church the sword in this age of the Church, but specifically gave that sword to the governments ordained to rule.

I don't think you can say that any man has 'no light within'. That's not a productive way of looking at the darkness that plagues humanity. What is the difference, frankly in Calvin feeling justified in having Michael Servetus burned alive and the doctrine of ET being taught in our churches today? That is why I find John Calvin so distasteful, as well as the fact that he is (not surprisingly) the father of the T.U.L.I.P. doctrine. The Protestants brought plenty of wicked stuff with them when they came out of the Roman Catholic church.
