Hi everyone!

Yesterday, a couple of "Christian" forums decided to ban me from their forums.

Why?

Because I told people that Jesus Christ was the Savior of the world.

They told me to write them if I was interested in discussing the issue. And I was.
So I wrote.

This is (part of) what I got in response:

"Dear ahigherway,

Thank you for taking the time to request a review of your status with
our Community after being temporarily banned for engaging in sustained
promotion of teaching contrary to Christianity. Before progressing
further, I would like to ask you a few questions.

1. What have you learned during your absence from our Community, and how
do you hope to apply it in any future participation?

2. Do you agree to refrain from participating in any discussion having
anything to do with faith, Christianity, doctrine, theology, salvation,
hell, etc?

3. Do you agree to not link to your website?

4. Have you reviewed our Terms of Service, and do you promise to conduct
yourself in our Community in a manner that conforms to the rules of conduct as outlined therein?" (etc. etc...)

(And note, I did check their list of doctrines before registering: no mention of NOT talking about salvation of all.)

Well, I wrote back and told them that it was quite interesting getting banned from a "Christian" website simply because I believe that Jesus is the Savior of the world.
I also told them that I wasn't interested in continuing to frequent their forums considering the uncomfortable "limitations of free speech" which they impose.

Why is it "Christians" are often some of the most intolerant people one can meet? Is it because their God is intolerant?

Love to hear your thoughts (and a big "thank you" for city-data for their tolerance of differing points of view!)

Blessings to all,
Brian

A very good observation.

I maintain that God is calling us onward and upward, but when we receive revelation, or "revival", or anointings, or any other "move" of God - we stop, build an altar to it and call "it" the utmost...

...and He is saying, "Come, follow Me - I have many such things, but they are not your goal - I am."

So it never occured to you that you were banned for promoting the doctrine of universalism?

You do realize that, don't you?

It would be like me going to a universalist forum and calling universalism bunk. I would get banned in a heartbeat.

I kid you not.
I think they wanted me to just "sit and listen" and not be able to add a thing!

Blessings,
brian

PS. The forums I've seen which tolerate/support UR have always had the door open to ETers. Universalism "by nature" doesn't "kick people out!" That's why it's called "Reconciliation."

Some don't like folks to question, Brian.
You're supposed to sit there, nod your head, pay your tithes and obey like a good little boy.

Whats the name of the forum?

By the way, the current 'Christianity' is like all organized , the doctrine of men. They are often inaccurate and they control a lot of men, by their control of Kingdoms of men. They are the 666 which was mentioned in the Revelations of John the divine. The Christians will want you to believe that one man will come who is 666, without realizing that their very faith and doctrine personifies the 666. Incredible!
