Hi all,

The religious leaders said that Jesus was 1) a sinner 2) a deceiver 3) a blasphemer 4) a winebibber.

They had him arrested and killed.

What kind of people today are given these same labels and are treated the same way?

I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Blessings,
brian

And, (thank you little elmer for reminding me!) He was called the Chief of devils!

So Jesus was seen as a sinner, deceiver, winebibber, blasphemer and chief of devils!

They say Hindsight is always 50/50...

Are there people being called these same things today?

For example, some "Christians" have already called me "deceived" and "in sin" just because I believe that Jesus is the Savior of the world!!

And I'm sure I'm not alone..

Blessings,
brian

You are definitely not alone , Brian..It happens daily as more and more people are leaving the constraints of man's religion and are finding peace in a more personal relationship with Him by the Holy Spirit who is our teacher and guide and lets us know when we "slip"

At first it hurts, it makes us feel guilty, it breaks up friendship, and marriages..but the joy and peace that slowly comes from asking God to help you remove those things from your heart and you find yourself l being able to "hear" the things He is writing in your heart.

He sees that I am in contact with other members of His church ( and ones who are seeking Him) through my spiritual ears and eyes and very few are in a building with a name on it.

Yes, Brian - but the servant is not greater than his Master. If they did those things to Jesus, his followers can expect the same.

Sadly, we miss the mark when we take aim at one another; embracing bitterness and resentment, rather than love and mercy.
