No bad things happened before the original sin, and then the world was cursed. Depression is a byproduct of the curse which originates from sin. I hope you will understand.

In my tradition there is no original sin. That is a Christian concept.

You're right Robin69, sin is the root cause. There would be no sickness (physical or mental), deformity, need for safes, locks on doors, jails, movie ratings.

Not according to your Jewish ancestors:

Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

Psalm 51:5
Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.

"he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” ....... "he" was Jesus.

But Isaiah prophecied so correctly when he said:
Isaiah 1:4
Ah, sinful nation, a people loaded with guilt, a brood of evildoers, children given to corruption! They have forsaken the LORD; they have spurned the Holy One of Israel and turned their backs on him.

Apparently not, Robin . . . you have had your own thread to show how you have correctly determined God's character from Jesus' words and have failed to do so. God's character is nothing like what you believe it to be, Robin. Jesus provided the most unambiguous example of God's true character. It takes the twistings and distortions of men using the ancient ignorance of the OT to produce the character of God you believe in.

You read it as a Christian, not a Jew.

The doctrine of original sin is totally unacceptable to Jews (as it is to Christian sects such as Baptists and Assemblies of G-d). Jews believe that man enters the world free of sin, with a soul that is pure and innocent and untainted. While there were some Jewish teachers in Talmudic times who believed that death was a punishment brought upon mankind on account of Adam's sin, the dominant view by far was that man sins because he is not a perfect being, and not, as Christianity teaches, because he is inherently sinful.

Only because you decided not to join in does not make it a failure. The thread is still open and the offer still stands.
