My own experience is that since I came to Preterism, it gives me a freedom to live my life fully and not be concerned with speculation about events that will never happen. That allows me to live as if there is a tomorrow that will endure forever, and it also gets "the devil" out of my thinking, because I am not forever blaming bad things on a being that no longer has influence in anything I do or think. This also makes ME responsible for my own sins, but it also frees me to let righteousness reign, rather than getting bogged down in mythical explanations for evil. I just wanted to share that with all of you.

Blessings.

Yes, but you have to obey the Law, at least to the extent that it offers you a balance of morals and the bearing of other individuals for their personal and non-communicating ways.

Depending on the what you mean "speculation about events that will never happen." I totally agree with everything else you have stated and do believe that is where my heart has been heading for sometime..... and is becoming stronger and stronger everyday, amen !! Love it !
I've been taught and believe it to be one who is sanctified, set apart to God's complete control in all of your life !!

Thanks for sharing.....

Default Just one question then. Does...

Does preterism have anything to do with realistic insurance companies? Are the insurance companies able to treat you like a second class citizen whenever it conveniences them?

Sciota, I believe we all seek our own peace with our beliefs about Him and if we are willing He helps us..I am happy you have found your place with Him.

Well I can say this by quoting Christ....render to Caesar what is his, and render to God what is God's...Hope that helps!

It was applied to resist the eternal future the authorities were offering to the masses as a trick.

The finite future is also religiously real for the righteous attitude of understanding the NEEDS for such a righteous attitude, and then we also were often concerned about the causes of righteousness in the milieu of just will to POWER.

I agree, I simply have come to live my life with a similar outlook based upon spiritual realities that have made a real difference in my life. I can't say it was due to teachings under the term preterist and I am not here to say anything about the term, other than that.
