Rob bell I think has come upon one of the greater questions we can ask in our walk. When the bible says LOVE never fails. I think Rob Bell has went, "What does it not fail to do?"

As well, I remember going to a church who suddenly jumped on the Rob Bell band wagon as his church gained notariety in the Christian Community. But they quickly jumped off when they realized his leanings was towards what he writes about.

The question "What does Gods love fail to do" is one many avoid trying to answer.

Indeed. Questions: don't be afraid to ask them. The more you question something, the more you study it truthfully, the more you only lead to the truth.

Love wins. Love wins?

Prov 10:12 Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs
1 Cor 13:8 Love never fails.
1 John 4:8 God is Love.

God is love, God never fails, and God's love covers over all wrongs. God will restore all things, God is reconciling all things back to Him, ultimately God will be all in all, so yes Love does win!

Its why love is the most important thing. God commands us to do it, its how we know God, its what God is.

[quote=Alpha8207]Moderator cut: Orphaned

It is not easy for me to embrace the idea that Gods love never fails,Moderator cut: deleteit is EASY and requires NOTHING for me to believe and be just fine with it.

However for most of my life I see so many Christians who take that easy stance. Oh Gods gonna get ya, you wait and see. There is nothing hard about that, our default nature is like that.

Respectfully, I disagree.

I hurt for my friends that are not in Christ. I see Him as the way not just to eternal life, but to abundant life now.

What do you mean "that" love wins? What about God's love for all people, does "that" love not win?

Like Phaze asked, does God love all people?

Does love win .... as in who gets the final say.. Jesus or those who reject Jesus?

Yes. Jesus wins, the universal theology loses:
John 12:48
There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day."

Matthew 25:41
“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
