The blind: they can't see - because they are blind.

Understand?

Might as well get that out of the way, someone is bound to say it sooner or later.

If I am, what of it, what am I to do about it? Can I unblind myself? Heal myself? Who is the healer?

But you have freewill to see that you are blind and accept Christ.

LOL OK this is getting silly Phaze "see that I'm blind" LOL. The double meanings here are getting confusing...

Did I choose to be blind with my free will?

Lets cut to the chase. Why was I made blind? Is it my fault if I stay blind? And is it to my credit when I become unblind? And can someone see something if they simply can't see it?

I love this passage:
John 9:1 As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
3 “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.

Wow that is amazing to me! This man was made blind so that the works of God could be displayed and God could make him see.

Anyway the point of the OP is that people can only see what they are able to see. I'm not talking about physical blindness here.

Someone cannot see a certain viewpoint because they are blind to it. No amount of arguing back and forth can change this, until God opens someone's eyes. HOWEVER the method through which God opens people's eyes may include using study, discussion, debate, and even arguments.
