The JW’s teach that the anointed class will dwell in heaven eternally, and all others will dwell on paradise earth forever. They base this on Matthew 5:5 “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

How can the JW’s belief be accurate when considering the following?

Matthew 5:3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

Matthew 5:10 “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

Does this mean that the JW’s who will supposedly live forever on paradise earth are not poor in spirit or persecuted because of righteousness?

And what about Luke’s rendition of the beatitudes? Don’t JW’s fit the bill? Shouldn’t their reward be in heaven and not on paradise earth?

“Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil because of the Son of Man. Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For their fathers treated the prophets in the same way.” (Luke 6:22-23)

By the way, where is “paradise earth” mentioned in Scripture?

The exact phrase ''paradise earth'' is not found in the Bible but have you never read the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament, or read Revelation chapter 21 and its reference to a 'new earth'? I am not a JW. But the Bible does teach that 'heaven' is not the permanent abode of regenerate mankind. The earth is, or will be inhabited by regenerate mankind both in the Millennial kingdom and in the eternal state if you believe the Bible. Heaven on earth if you will rather than heaven in heaven.

For instance, in Zechariah 14:9 and following, a brief description of conditions on the earth is given, if you want to call that paradise, from the perspective of the writer of Zechariah.

Also the Lord’s Prayer refers to it

Mat 6:9**After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Mat 6:10**Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

That's right. It does. I had forgotten about that. Thanks, Meerkat.

To my understanding, 'paradise' is on Earth [the as yet future Earth], and 'heaven' are two separate and distinct locations.

The Old Testament followers were promised 'paradise'. In the Old Testament 'heaven' is never taught.

In the New Testament, a new place is being promised which is 'heaven'.

Only in the thousand-year reign of Jesus Christ will the earth be a complete Paradise ........... Jesus told the man next to Him on the cross ``Verily I say onto you today, you will be with me in Paradise``... Luke 23: 43 ........... As Jesus was referring to Heaven of God .............. problem is that the devil and millions of his hoards are in the earth which would be a tainted paradise, and the thousand-year reign of Jesus the devil and his hoard will be locked in the abyss or which is called the bottomless pit for a thousand years

The Jehovah Witnesses are a religious type of organisation that is working on its own interpretation of Scriptures that dates back to a specific time relating to increased religious awareness among the Protestants in the USA and the same type of the thing happened in Europe as well

It’s about the promised ‘revival’

I believe this is related to the creation of the many different types of religious ‘Christian’ communities in their own types of ‘orders’

1Co 15:22**For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
1Co 15:23**But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
1Co 15:24**Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
1Co 15:25**For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
1Co 15:26**The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
1Co 15:27**For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
1Co 15:28**And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

Great Awakening

Great Awakenings
First (c. 1730–1755)
Second (c. 1790–1840)
Third (c. 1855–1930)
Fourth (c. 1960–1980)

Quote:
Great Awakening refers to a number of periods of religious revival in American Christian history. Historians and theologians identify three, or sometimes four, waves of increased religious enthusiasm between the early 18th century and the late 20th century. Each of these "Great Awakenings" was characterized by widespread revivals led by evangelical Protestant ministers, a sharp increase of interest in religion, a profound sense of conviction and redemption on the part of those affected, an increase in evangelical church membership, and the formation of new religious movements and denominations.
Some of the influential people during the Great Awakening were George Whitefield, Jonathan Edwards, and Gilbert Tennent, and some of the influential groups during the Great Awakening were the New Lights and the Old Lights.[1][2][3] Pulling away from ritual and ceremony, the Great Awakening made religion intensely personal to the average person by fostering a deep sense of spiritual conviction of personal sin and need for redemption, and by encouraging introspection and a commitment to a new standard of personal morality. It incited rancor and division between old traditionalists who insisted on the continuing importance of ritual and doctrine, and the new revivalists, who encouraged emotional involvement and personal commitment. It had a major impact in reshaping the Congregational church, the Presbyterian church, the Dutch Reformed Church, and the German Reformed denomination, and strengthened the small Baptist and Methodist denominations. It had little impact on Anglicans and Quakers. Unlike the Second Great Awakening, which began about 1800 and reached out to the unchurched, the First Great Awakening focused on people who were already church members. It changed their rituals, their piety, and their self-awareness.[4]

In 1870, Charles Taze Russell and others formed a group in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to study the Bible.[32] During the course of his ministry, Russell disputed many beliefs of mainstream Christianity including immortality of the soul, hellfire, predestination, the fleshly return of Jesus Christ, the Trinity, and the burning up of the world.[33] In 1876, Russell met Nelson H. Barbour. Later that year they jointly produced the book Three Worlds, which combined restitutionist views with end time prophecy.[33]

Lucifer has done an incredible job of just attacking the word of God. Even on this web site.

Christian sects believe all sorts of things. You could literally go on for days with all the baloney sandwhiches folks eat.

Irregardless of what sect you belong with, it's how you live that matters. WE all will reap what we sow.

So many soul traps now.

Try Matthew 5:5 from Psalm 37:9-11,29 because Jesus promised that humble meek people will inherit the Earth.
A paradisical Earth as described in Isaiah 35th chapter. Isaiah 65:21-25
The kingdom of heaven rules or governs from heaven over Earth - Rev. 20:6; 5:9-10
Please notice the gift that God gives to us humans at Psalm 115:16 B
Also, notice mankind's dwelling place as mentioned at Acts 17:26

'Poor in spirit' is a King James wording. Greek Interlinear has: Happy (blessed) the poor ones (as) to the spirit,......
So, Jesus is Not speaking about being financially poor but spiritually poor hungry ones can be happy/blessed.
In other words, our needs, we need more that shelter, clothing and physical food to be really happy or blessed.
Happy/blessed to follow in Jesus' footsteps.

To me, Luke 6:20-36 is about Not measuring one's worth by being popular but being realistic in today's climate.
Hated for preaching and teaching - John 15:18-21
The climate in today's world is a reason to be happy because Matthew 25:31-33,37 is at hand. (Luke 21:28)
Please notice the figurative 'sheep' are alive on Earth and can continue to live on Earth - 1st Cor. 15:24-26
Of ALL the people Jesus resurrected he did Not resurrect any to heaven but right here back to live life on Earth.
Jesus was giving us a resurrection sample, a coming attraction of what he will do on a grand-global scale.
Heaven was Not promised to anyone who died before Jesus died - John 3:13
It is Not until the New Covenant that heaven was offered to some at Luke 22:28-30.
