When we were born, we were born into sin. After we have been reborn in Christ, we are no longer born in sin, but born of God and hence should stop living in sin
Christians believe that all men are born tainted by sin, the result of our ancestor Adam's fall from grace. The only way to remove that stain of sin is to accept the redemption that Jesus Christ offers.
Sorry hiker45 but death was passed through into your children and because of that, they sinned. Romans 5:12 says as much.
1COR 7:14 "For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy."

RESPONSE:
Ezekiel 18:20 - " The son will not bear the punishment for the father’s iniquity, nor will the father bear the punishment for the son’s iniquity; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself."
Ezekiel 18:20 - " The son will not bear the punishment for the father’s iniquity, nor will the father bear the punishment for the son’s iniquity; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself."
So you think Old Zek got it wrong, eh?
I like that response!!
Nothing like quoting the bible to one up the bible.
Dear GTBH, 400 years is incorrect. The apostle Paul told Timothy to bring the manuscripts, especially the parchments of the Scriptures.
Marcion lived around 140ish A.D. and he set the first canon of Scripture.
Origen lived from 185 to 254 A.D. and he also had a canon of Scripture.
This canon existed prior to their birth as well.
It is not my OPINION about Mary but the truth of the Scriptures. If Mary was assumed into heaven, why did no one know for almost 2000 years?
I believe in Scripture Only first and then see what others say about it. If they agree with Scripture, then, that is O.K. You haven't even got down Scripture yet but rely only one what others say outside the Scriptures. Remember, Paul completed the word of God, not your popes or bishops.
Yes, there were 1000's of writings which were considered important, but I reiterate there was no one source that people all over the ancient Christian world went to get their source of truth. Truth was delivered to laymen via the priest and bishops of the Church and not a book. The writings and letters written by Paul and others were based on Sacred Tradition as taught to them by Jesus Christ and any derivations of His teachings as agreed on by Peter and the Apostles and their successors. Since the Peter was given the "keys" or authority, the position of the Church regarding Mary was authoritative. Your thoughts on Mary are simply an opinion which should be regarded as such.
The truth of the sciptures is that the Catholic Church and it's members around 397 AD decided what writings would be in the Bible that YOU use. You ever notice that the Bible does not include a list of writings to be included in the Bible. That's because the Church decided what they would be based on how it agreed with Sacred Tradition and who the author was and was the author verifiable. So who has the right to interpret scripture accurately? Not you, but rather the organization that put it together. YOUR FAITH IS BUILT ON THE SHOULDERS AND FOUNDATION OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH. Get your arms around that fact and snuggle. I guess you know more about our constitution that our country's founders, too, huh?
