The thing is, if Joel Osteen and the rest of the TV prosperity big shots preached hell fire with their message, fundamental christianity would be all over it.

There are a host of posters who believe differently on here, but mention hell fire on here and they unify quicker than Usain Bolt on speed. Now that is alarming.

You have to hand it to the universalist's they unite over Jesus Christ being who HE IS, the Savior of the world.

You know I began to read one of his books, and now I want that multi million dollar mansion on the hill i was meant to have he said, I don't think following the truth I want for I got Joel, do I want Joel and the mansion now, or give up Joel and the mansion and forsake all I have to be Jesus's desciple.

Ok I have thought long enough, I will give Joel and the mansion up, I take poverty, I am not worthy, oh not worthy to be your follower Joel, lots of laughs you might think, but deadly he is, and he gots lots of company with guys like him and even the better teachers have really not been willing to get out of the money business, living just as Osteen is in many ways. More docrinally sound, which is very good, but really rich and making lots of money off preaching and their books and cds.

It gets real interesting that one could charge $8 for a tape of their sermon on a sunday morning. And they know a lot right, but still they just don't want to do all they teach, like let the money thing go. Say things and let things go to have a big church and following.

Pastor Olsteen is a God called pastor and he teaches on what God tells him to preach on and teach on. we as saints where made to rule and rain in prosperity in the earth.

I don't know Joel Osteen's heart or salvation status, but I do not sit under the teachings of any pastor who does not preach the entire counsel of God, which includes repentance of sin; hell is the punishment for our sin; Jesus died as the only sacrifice and forgiveness of our sin; through faith in Christ, we have forgiveness and newness of life; through the Spirit, we are sanctified and made holy just as He IS holy; and, we must share the Gospel of Jesus with others.
