About Grace and the universality of it, apart from faith...is too a complex subject, that I will tackle in the coming weeks over at my site. I will post here again so that we can interact with it when it is completed. You may be surprised at my conclusion, or be it, elated
Can't wait!

Sciota, I sense a "softening" in you -- and I really like how you and kat are communicating, without animosity, ..... I have learnt a lot from you both (as well as from many other people on this forum) ...... It is nice to see!!!

I blame Calvin no just kidding...contention and reproof is good, but there is no point in being "hard" nosed, no matter who you are talking to, and that includes the little mouse under my house...boy does he bother me sometimes...scratching around the foundation 60 hours a week...i need my beauty sleep.....but he has to eat too.

I have softened quite a bit. Especially to UR, not that I agree with it, although it would be nice, but from my angle of interpretation and studies thus far, I see no evidence of it, condoning or condemning it. In my pipe dream world, I would like God to give those who were generally good people a chance in the afterlife, but I can't say that with Biblical authority. Nothing is impossible with Him. However, as Kat and I both have come to terms with, is that the afterlife is predominantly, not a subject in scripture, but rather, covenant life or...Heaven...is.

Peace.

Simply put that is the truth... We can't argue about something we won't know until it's too late to share and argue about... The focus in the bible is definitely about this current life we live not any afterlife...

That is what boggles my mind about believing in this rapture stuff... It has no use in our lives any more than speculation about an afterlife does.

Ken, I Hope your mouse friend relocates. One of his cousins lives at my friend's house northeast of you (Snohomish). She has trouble getting her beauty sleep too. they are relentless little buggers.
