[quote=stillkit;19709100]Yes, God was in Christ and we are not held accountable for our sins because of Christ.
But, how do we access that "not counting sin of the people (us) against them?" Is it natural? Is it given to all? Are there any preconditions for receiving it?
Yes, there is.
Jesus himself said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No man cometh unto the father but by me."
Me. What does that mean? Who, or what, is "me?"
The Greek word translated into English there is the word "emou," which means me, myself, mine, I, etc. It is from the word "ego," which means me, I. Since Jesus was speaking from the flesh, He meant "me" in the flesh, in His human incarnation.
There is NO salvation outside belief in the crucified and resurrected HUMAN Jesus the Christ. It HAS to be thus because of the fleshly sacrifice of innocent animals to cover mankind's original sin in the Garden of Eden!
If that is not so, then why did John tell us this in 1 John 4: 2-3?
1Jo 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
1Jo 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that [spirit] of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Notice that he did not say just Jesus, but Jesus THE Christ, the Son of God, essentially God incarnate. He didn't say anything about Christ within us or about His teachings or His attributes or anything else. He said Jesus Christ IN THE FLESH!
We MUST believe in Jesus Christ the man, the God-man, the anointed one, the Son of the Living God in human form who literally and physically died on the cross and who was literally and physically resurrected on the third day or there IS NO SALVATION!

It's because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus if you acknowledge even this scripture from 1 Cor 1:30, your whole attitude and more importantly the way you see them, the lost(who you think are hellbound), would change .Moderator cut: sarcasm

He came in the flesh and He must be accepted as having done so, or it's insufficient for the purposes of salvation.

Sounds like you've added a lot of 'fine print' to the gospel. I wonder what makes people fight against the truth of God's provision? May God open your spiritual eyes....
God’s Mysterious Plan Revealed
1When I think of all this, I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus for the benefit of you Gentiles a . . . 2assuming, by the way, that you know God gave me the special responsibility of extending his grace to you Gentiles. 3As I briefly wrote earlier, God himself revealed his mysterious plan to me. 4As you read what I have written, you will understand my insight into this plan regarding Christ. 5God did not reveal it to previous generations, but now by his Spirit he has revealed it to his holy apostles and prophets.
6And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus. b 7By God’s grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News.
8Though I am the least deserving of all God’s people, he graciously gave me the privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them in Christ. 9I was chosen to explain to everyonec this mysterious plan that God, the Creator of all things, had kept secret from the beginning.
10God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. 11This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord.
12Because of Christ and our faith in him,d we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence. 13So please don’t lose heart because of my trials here. I am suffering for you, so you should feel honored.

I'm not willing to turn this into a UR thread versus ET. If you want to boast in your belief in God that saved you, be my guest. The subject we are talking about is Christygirl's post about consciously knowing Christ in you.

What do you mean "the Bible says so does not cut it with God?"
Is the Bible the revealed word of God, or is it not?

The Jews are saying the "scriptures says so", (which is no different to saying the bible says so) today, they believe without a doubt by the scriptures, that the Messiah is yet to come, and do you believe they know and see God ?. Is what they are believing to be the Word of God,actually cutting it with God? ,what does the scripture say about this ?Even to this day when Moses is read(the scriptures) a veil covers their hearts. 2 Cor 3:15.Read 2 Cor 3:13:18.
What is that veil doing ? Keeping them from seeing who God really IS. Now when that veil is removed the believer enters the freedom of knowing who God really IS.
Why do you think the Jews did not recognize Jesus Christ as the Messiah ?,it was due to their take on Old Covenant scriptures. Fundamental christianity as the same problem today, although it says it believes in Grace and faith, it's confession clearly proves it does not,it believes no different to the Jew who is still under the law of Old Covenant scripture.I was no different, i was under the same veil of ignorance even though i said and believed no different to how you do at this moment in time, but i'm eternally grateful that God opened my eyes and woke me from the coma i was under due to the influence of the teachings of fundamental christianity.
Awake thou that sleepeth,Arise from the dead and Christ will give you life.

Here is the path that leads through the narrow gate; love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Although, there are few who understand it. But it is the only way, truth, and life of Christ.

The majority of Jews did not recognize Jesus as Messiah, and still don't, because God blinded them to the reality of Him in order to accomplish His purpose of bringing salvation to the Gentiles. The scriptures were not faulty nor was their interpretation of them. They simply are not allowed to see the truth....yet.

Jesus also told them to search the scriptures for in them(the scriptures) you think(like christendom thinks, but err's in it's thinking)you have eternal life, but they are they which testify of me.
The scriptures testify of Jesus Christ(For confirmation of this read Luke 24 and listen to the testimony of the 2 men on the road to Emmaus). The reason the Jew and fundies err in the scriptures is simply because it fails to see Jesus Christ in them, what the fundy see's is a re-ash of Judaism, with the name of Jesus thrown in for good measure.
The Law came through Moses, but grace and truth(the reality of who God IS) through Jesus Christ.
