It also requires the LACK of faith in God's love and a lack of belief that God has the truth "written in our hearts" or that the Holy Spirit will guide us to it if we SINCERELY seek it or that we need no man to teach us. Having to EXCUSE or RATIONALIZE what the Holy Spirit tells us in our heart is Evil using the "precepts and doctrines of men" written in ink . . . should be sufficient proof against any doctrine. But indoctrination and fear are strong motivators to ignore it.

It's easier for a camel to enter through the eye of a needle, than a fundamentalist to enter the kingdom of God..............but we have to remind ourselves all things are possible with God.So although it may appear that they are not taking any notice, God is doing something in the Fundy, that Fundy is not aware of.
By checking it against the Living Word of God . . . the "mind of Christ" and the Holy Spirit within guiding us to what God has written in our hearts.
In other words, by checking "within?" How do you know it's the Holy Spirit talking and not yourself or some other spirit? What if it contradicts the Bible, such as in the case of the original link?

Oh, yes of course! We know how those who go by the BIBLE all agree on everything....

The only contradictions that matter are those that violate Christ's revelation of God's love . . . since God IS love. We have 1cor 13 and the Sermon on the Mount to aid us in assessing what is or is not contradictory to love. We also have what God has written in our hearts . . . if we sincerely test things against what we know in our innermost hearts is or is not loving without trying to make excuses.
