Is God more powerful than physics?
Is God more powerful than geometry?

Is God so powerful that he can't limit himself?

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

So you are conceeding the point that God is powerfull enough to limit himself despite what we think.

God is indeed omnipotent. But that does not mean that He can do that which is absurd. God cannot create a square circle. God is limited in that He can not contradict who and what He is. God is truth and therefore He cannot lie. God is eternal life and therefore cannot die. God knows everything that is knowable, both the actual and what might have been, and therefore He cannot learn anything. He already knows everything that can be known.

Yes, God is all powerful. He is omnipotent. God established the princples of physics and could change them if that was a part of His plan to do so. But a circle is a circle and a square is a square. A square cannot be a circle at the same time that it is a square. God does not involve Himself in absurdities.

Also, God cannot arbitrarily save anyone apart from His requirement of faith in Christ. Having established it, God must carry out His Plan of salvation. And He must leave in condemnation all who do not place their faith in Christ before they depart this life.

RESPONSE:

>>God cannot create a square circle<<

I can create a square circle, by building a boxing ring.

(Do I get to be the fourth person of the Blessed Trinity then?)[]

Twin,

Of course God is more powerful than physics and geometry -- they were made by God - they are a part of the physical laws that he has set in place.....

Mike, was there ever a time when Jesus wasn't God?

"God is eternal life and therefore cannot die." ... Did Jesus stop being God when he died?

"He cannot learn anything. He already knows everything that can be known."
Yet Jesus grew in wisdom, Jesus was human in every way. That is why Jesus as God John 1:1 knows when the end will come and yet at the same time only the Father knows. Matthew 24:36

A square cannot be a circle at the same time that it is a square.

But that is what the Triune God is: (that's why I said triangle in the title)
"In Christ the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form" Colossians 2:9

"In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, the Word was God" John 1:1

I agree but for a different reason....

It's not that he cannot, he could if he wanted to. It's that it is his pleasure for something to happen or not to.

Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Romans 8:8
Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.

1 Corinthians 1:21
For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

But the greater point that I'm presenting is if God is truly omnipotent ... then there is nothing truly he can't do.

You don't believe God is all powerful enough to be everywhere and yet not everywhere at the same time?
