Why wait for the Rapture?

Because we have no choice but to wait, if it comes at all.

Born again believers cannot lose their Salvation and will be 'raptured,' while non-believers do not have Salvation and will be left-behind at the rapture ---

"Believing more" will not 'better secure the salvation of/or place in the 'rapture of believers' ... and non-believers, who by definition, do not believe/trust in Jesus Christ by faith ... will not suddenly start believing because they look at a Bible .... (or, according to scripture, even when the rapture occurs).

Therefore, believers must realize that the admonition to "read and keep the things written" (Rev. 1:3) is actually directed to believers ... for the sake of non-believers --- "Keeping these things" or 'anticipating the rapture and return of Christ', is really aimed at the overall Gospel objective of developing a sense of urgency in believers towards sharing the Gospel of Christ a the lost and dying world. That is how the lost will ultimately be saved, both prior to and after the rapture (the latter being during the horrific 7-year Great Tribulation.

You are correct.
Though, God is love..
The people you are speaking of are lovers of love.
In other words, they are the ones truly following God, by allowing LOVE to lead them.

That is what is so ironic.

God doesn't care about labels.
Lots of folks follow God without even realizing it. Because they follow LOVE.

Lots of folks claim they follow God, they stick their jesus fish on the outside of their cars, they talk about their church functions, they quote bible verses all day long, but if they are not following love, they most definitely are NOT following God.

It's so simple a child could understand.

There is no fear in love.
Folks need to pipe down with all the fear mongering and fear spreading.
There
is
no
fear
in
love.

GOD
IS
LOVE.

PERIOD.

oh what a day it will be...

When so many "heathens" look at God with wonder in their eyes and say "When God... when did we do these things..???

And so many "christians" will say "God... didn't we do these things????"

But no-one is better than another. We are really just here to learn.

In the end, we are ALL going to learn.
We are ALL going to join hands and finally, finally understand the power of love. All of our labels will be meaningless. Love will rule supreme in all of our hearts, and when that happens it will be heaven on earth. All will love God, and all will love their neighbor (all of creation) as theirselves.

God IS love.
Love is what created us.
And Love will bring about the change in each of us that is needed.

Remember there is NO FEAR in LOVE.

Follow LOVE and you are following God.

Just my .02

Mat 24:36 "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only."

We will not know when Christ will return, nor do we have to fear his return. We are saved through him and secure in our eternal security with him.

So although the kingdom of God is closer now than it was yesterday, or 2000 years ago, we truly have no idea when Jesus will return. It could be as soon as now, and as far off as we can count.

The issue of Jesus coming soon, keeping watch, ect has nothing to do with the traditiona end times doom and gloom that is cast towards unbelievers. The whole point of scripture is about the freedom of the spirit and mans choices. Jesus sure can come at any time, Jesus can take a hold of a life at any moment, he indeed is coming soon to someone. The reason no one can know is that even Jesus could not say when he was going to enter into someones willing heart.

The reason we are told to not be caught sleeping is because the slumbering people have no idea when to recognize when a heart is changed. Far to many believe that it has to do with religion and church and sinners prayers and baptismals and emotion. They also believe that it has to do with the words one uses to say various things. English speaking people think it has only to do with someone physically getting on their knees and crying out with arms extended using english words like sinner and Jesus and acceptance because that is what church people say you should look for.

In reality a life can start changing without ever meeting any believers idea of rituals and criteria. No they are caught sleeping most of the time and miss out.

Wouldn't it make more sence to see that the age of grace would more than likely be longer that any other age? Also in order to reach the idea of a "rapture" of the church at any time other than the second coming requires manipulation of text or implied meaning. That does not make for sound doctrine. The disiples particularly Paul belived according to what they where taught by Jesus him self was an imidate return, that obviously didn't happen. So one could conclued that something else was ment by the verses discribing the second coming.

You have quoted from scripture but unfortunately your understanding is flawed. You understand that passage to mean that the time of Christ return is unknown, when in actual fact it means that the time the world will be destroyed is unknown. Christ will already be in the world before the end of all nonsense. He gave you a clue to understand the times of his coming, but his coming to the world is not the end of the world. The end comes much later and at a time even he Christ does not know. Clear?
