Yes, but that's got nothing to do with someones earthly religion. Never forget that religion is man-made.
Well, I'll have to agree with you that most of them are. On the other hand, Jesus Christ did say He was going to build His Church. When He did, it was definitely God-made. On the other hand, I would agree with you that we are not going to be either saved or condemned on the basis of which denomination of Christianity we affiliated with during our lifetime.
God doesn't save anyone based upon his earthly religion. He saves them based upon their faith in Jesus Christ and nothing else.

This confusion is a direct result of the corruption of Christ's Gospel. We are saved BY Christ alone . . . NOT by OUR faith IN Christ. Our faith is IN the truth that Christ has saved us BY His grace (agape love) alone. It is finished. The saving is a done deal. Our sanctification is the only issue remaining and that is based on our following Christ's commands to "love God and each other" daily.

I can go along with that, Mystic. Are you surprised or not?

And, what do you think the ultimate expression of His grace is, if not sending Jesus to die for your sins and giving you the opportunity to accept it when you don't deserve it? If that's not grace, what is it?
divided..............He came not to bring Peace but to divide, perhaps the readers from the non.
actually, the correct word is "split". he supposedly thought he was to separate the "good" from the "bad". As in "two halves" not "an infinite amount of denominations".
You actually think he foretold his own failure to fullfill and maintain God's true religion?
I think I'll wait for the religion of peace (not Islam: the Qur'an is filled with vengence), instead of the nazi Christian religion of kill every liberal you can find.
It's not just becuase he was a Christian that the Norway Bomber killed so many children, and it's not just because they were muslims that the terrorists blew up the towers.

We still have to accept His payment of our sins! We still have to PROFESS Him and believe in our hearts that He died for us and was raised from the grave bodily. Just because He went to the cross doesn't mean anybody is saved without confessing Him.
He saved us all on the cross, but it's we still have the right to reject it. That's what free will is all about.
And, what do you think the ultimate expression of His grace is, if not sending Jesus to die for your sins and giving you the opportunity to accept it when you don't deserve it? If that's not grace, what is it?
No we are saved by that grace alone and like Mystic rightly said, our faith(God given) is in the truth of it.

You mean we don't have to do anything? It's just done, whether we want it or not? Whether we repent or not? Whether we confess Jesus Christ or not?
What "gospel" is this coming from?
