Just like you, Twin, Mike,..... Paul also railed against some vile people who crept into the early church and began to teach other things, other doctrines, other gospels. It was a problem right from the beginning, and it has continued to be a problem down to this very day!
We know some of the early heresies of the first century church. Among the leading heresies was Gnosticism, from "gnosis" (knowledge). These liars taught a special kind of "inside knowledge" just like we read here in this thread and forum.....
Also, Twin and Mike, through you both and a few other's.... "God warns about such people who will creep into the family of believers for they truly live as enemies of the cross."........ Many of the epistles are written as a direct defense of..... "the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints." (Jude 3) against the onslaught of Gnosticism and other heresies.

Paul wasn't pulling any punches when he railed against these enemies of the truth, whether we read about it in Romans or any of his other epistles. Paul was very concerned about the danger these snakes could do to the people of God. He rightly called them depraved, debased, and ultimately, rejected.... amen !

So we see that it is the reprobate mind in this thread, they can't stand to hear God's truth, it's like their hearing someone running their finger nails across a chalk board to their ears...... The reaction is to try vehemently to twist, mangle, and suppress the truth with their wickedness.... against anyone who stands in God's truth !!

They'll fight all the way to their destruction for their is no fear of God in their hearts (reverence) and in their weeping and gnashing their teeth toward God, they still, will spit in the face of God, accusing God, yet, they will be without excuse, because, although they once knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened..... and in their pride holding their banners high professing to be wise, yet, they were shown they had became fools, in changing the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man — themselves !!!

Yup, their deceiving hearts awaits them in judgment..... amen !!
Well said CM. And so very true.

From my research of all the religions...and a lot are just variations of the progenators... see many aspects mixed into Christianity....

Every anti-christ cult message begins with one these as a platform:
  • Jesus is not God
  • Jesus did not rise physically from the dead
  • God is not triune
  • The Bible is not sufficient for salvation
  • Faith alone is not sufficient for salvation
  • Salvation is made available after physical death
God warns about such people who will creep into the family of believers for they truly live as enemies of the cross.
I mistakenly deleted my original reply to this post because I got this confused with another post and thought that I was replying to the wrong person. Well, here is my reply again.

How true. There is also another Biblical truth which is being denied by many. These people are rejecting the fact that the holiness of God required that Jesus die on the cross as a subsitute for our sins. They reject the sacrificial death of Christ and replace the true gospel with the false gospel of love. These people say that all you need to be saved is to love God and each other. That is not the gospel and it will not save you. The gospel message is the good news that because God loved the world, Jesus Christ who is God became a man and went to the cross where He died as a substitute for us, paying the penalty for our sins which we could not pay ourselves. That because of His death, burial and resurrection, anyone who will place his faith in Christ will have eternal life. That basically is the gospel message. And many who would pass themselves off as Christian deny this, in favor of their false gospels, one being the aforementioned gospel of love.

God isn't just "loving".
God is LOVE

Love always protects
Love always Perseveres
Love NEVER FAILS

Nothing anti-christ about that message.

Satan did indeed indwell, or enter in Judas as per John 13:27.
Try again, as it merely implies the act or process of penetrating, having an effect.
Maybe this will help you comprehend: "Love indwells the heart."

Being indwelt and being influenced are two different things. Demons can actually indwell the body of unbelievers in certain circumstances. They can indwell and possess animals, as when Jesus drove demons out of a man and they went into a herd of swine. But demons cannot indwell the body of a believer, although they can influence a believer who has rejected Biblical truth.

Can a Christian be demon possessed? Can a Christian be demonized?

In the case of being indwelt by the Holy Spirit, the purpose is so that the body of the believer is a temple for the indwelling of Jesus Christ as the shekinah glory. This indwelling is not influence. It is a special manifestation of God. As previously stated, it is not the humanity of Jesus Christ which indwells the church-age believer. It is the deity of Jesus Christ which indwells him.

Doctrines of Demons?
Obviously, you missed the point; and the truth.

I have never read a more accurate description of your views and those of Twin, Mike and Finn. Virtually every corruptible human psychological weakness (jealousy, vengeance, wrath, etc.)that we are heir to YOU and Mike and Twin have assigned to God as His motives and actions. YOU and Mike and Twin have changed the "glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man."Too bad you are so averse to God's unconditional love and acceptance that you stoop to calling those who profess this love "depraved, debased, and ultimately, rejected.... amen !" God have mercy on your souls.

God's word is a perfect balance of truth between God's undeserved love\ mercy \ grace\ just \ holy and salvation along with God's deserved wrath \ judgement \ condemnation \ damnation. This balance is well recorded in the OT between God's chosen people and those who oppose the chosen. Jesus repeatedly presented both truths.

IMO, some do not realize that when the message of "God is love" "Love never fails" can be used as anti-christ message when it is used to reject the balanced truth throughout the written word.

Likewise... there are some who use the all or part of the law as the means to which salvation is granted, it must be noted that that too was also one of the anti-christ cult messages that appeared early on which God warned about.
