I am sorry, but I don't have any interest in a the kind of discussion where you make claims like "YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T KNOW WHAT PEACES IS".
Well, thanks for telling me what I do know and what I don't know, but maybe I know better.
Just saying.....
Thanks, but no thanks
Your welcome, sometimes people need to be shown the truth of what they are saying. It seems to be ok for you and some others around here to point out that those who claim to possess Gods love do not show it, but when the tables are turned and someone is taking the same approach to you, you get all whiny and crabby about it.
But that is ok, because the truth often makes us uncomfortable and many times we can try to avoid having to deal with it.
The context of this reasoning is started by you, you try to construe that a person is not at peace because they talk about hell every day. Peace in this context seems to be a good feeling, being content with the issue at hand.
In light of scripture telling us to have burdens for the lost I don't think most people realize what peace in scriptural context is. If you argue that a person talking about hell is not at peace and someone expressing that when they believed in hell they were not at peace about it, then as I tried to point out in another message, there is a greater context that should be examined.
I propose that eternal hell is not something a Christian should ever feel good about in the context of the lost. If you feel good about eternal separation from God on behalf of the lost, or don't really care, or it is something that does not bother you, then if that is the right way to be, you should be able to admit it.
But that is inherantly the problem, biblical peace is not about feeling good. Jesus was at peace with his Fathers will, but he didn't express any positive emotions about it. He was at peace concerning being willing to do what needed to be done.
When I believed in eternal hell I obsessed over it, I talked about it every day, I was for sure I wasn't going but what of those who wouldn;t believe me. I never felt good about that, if you do, then as much as it offends you, you have no idea what peace means.
So if that doesn't describe you, quit whining and explain yourself, otherwise my assumption stands based upon YOUR words.

Not whining, just telling you I not wish to participate in childishness. Get over it, and find someone else to talk to.

It is not childishness to point things out and admonish others about what we believe. It seems to work well for you when talking to others, you just do not like it when someone does it to you.

In my opinion, ETers "peace" is the equivilant of the feelings of the children who sat on Hitler's lap, looking up adoringly into Hitler's face and beaming with love for him, and of course, Hitler "loving" them in return. After all, that was what the parents programmed the child to do and to feel.
I'm almost 73, and I remember the world war two news reels.
The last time I said this, Finn responded, "There you go, bringing up Hitler again." Yep, I sure am. I think it's an excellent comparison!

Somehow that comparison fits URs better than anyone else. You look up at Hitler beaming with love and thinking he is the good guy, when in reality he is the devil. He whispers to you "you shall surely not die..."

Love Hitler, not his sin.
