People go to Hell Fire and Damnation because they Deserve it!!!!!!!!!!!
"People go to Hell Fire and Damnation because they Deserve it!"
At least that's what I've been told by some evangelicals and other church people.
But let's look at that premise and see what it is really saying:
If people go to hell fire and damnation because they deserve it then the opposite must be true . . . people go to heaven because they deserve it.
But is that premise scriptural?
In any of Paul's epistles to us, the nations, did he ever state that God is going to save us because we did something to deserve being saved? Actually the opposite is the case.
We are saved by grace, not by works, lest anyone can boast. So there is no boasting allowed if God has saved you. If salvation is of works, Paul says, then it is no longer grace.
Did you get that? We are saved by grace, not by works. We didn't do anything to put God in a corner to have to save us.
Likewise, mankind didn't do anything to deserve eternal hell fire and damnation. They just are what they are . . . sinners. But why are they sinners? Ah, that's the question to ask. If we go to Romans 5:12 we are told that sin entered the world and through sin death, and thus death passed through into all mankind and it is for that reason, all sin. So all mankind cannot do anything but sin because the death operating in them causes them to sin.
Now Paul states "all avoid Him" and "all sin and are wanting of the glory of God." Why? Death!
So what is God going to do about this unfair situation mankind finds themselves in? He has already done it! See Romans 5:18,19 for the answer! Isn't God wonderful?

And if the natural man considers the things of the Spirit to be foolishness, how did they ever choose Jesus in the first place? What part of the natural man chooses Christ??
All good questions here...!

Dear A.N. I don't quite understand your reply. My whole post was about thinking CONTRARY to what some evangelicals and other church people were saying. So how was I allowing others to think for me?
Do you think people deserve to go to hell fire and damnation?

Fact is, we don't deserve anything.
Humanity does not deserve death operating in them due to what Adam did. But God knew
it is exactly what humanity needed so they could experience being saved by Jesus Christ.

Huckleberry, what do you mean "if that is so"? Do you believe all mankind deserved to have death passed through into them due to the one act of Adam?
I'm not sure I follow your logic about hitting 7 billion and my main thesis. Do you think it is fair that well over 7 billion people have death operating in the due to one act of Adam?

That it's dependent on him choosing us instead of the other way round ?.
This sounds like if He who his no respecter of persons doing the choosing there can only be one outcome, He has mercy on all, now if that is true, that really would be glad tidings to all men.

RESPONSE:
>>Likewise, mankind didn't do anything to deserve eternal hell fire and damnation.<<
But God sends many of them to hell anyway?
>>...we are told that sin entered the world and through sin death, and thus death passed through into all mankind and it is for that reason, all sin<<
Again then, man isn't really responsible for sin?
And nothing at all died before Adam sinned? The earth must have been pretty crowded, don't you think?
