"Who will transform the body" can't you see that? Transform means it will not be of the same nature. But it doesn't no matter. What will happen will happen no matter what you or I think.
What did I just say? Did I not just say to you that the resurrected physical body will be a body of incorruptability and immortality? Of course that means that the body is transformed. But is still a physical body. And did you not read where I said that the word Anastatsis always refers to the physical resurrection of the body?
Jesus' resurrected body is physical as ours will be. The resurrected Jesus will physically sit on the throne of David in Jerusalem when He returns to the earth. Again, the resurrected body will be incorruptable and immortal, but it will be physical.
Even when on the earth He was limited to the body in one place at one time but in the New Earth He will rule from the throne ["Heaven is My throne and earth my footstool"] that is in Heaven over the new earth, unlimited by a physical body. It is written, "Henceforth we know no man after the flesh but after the Spirit, though we have at one time known Him after the flesh, we now know Him no more that way anymore."
Let me just say this for starters, if you think that is talking about place, you need to be transferred from the kingdom of darkness to see the true meaning of it.
No, I don't think this is about place. I agree with Mike. Now, tell us what you think it means.
As I just told another, most people believe what they want to believe, regardless of the facts. You are one of those people. Jesus said that the kingdom was in your midst. Not that it was inside you.
And as I just told you, as well as Finn, you do not believe the scriptures nor what Jesus had to say, regardless of the truth presented to you.
As I just told another, most people believe what they want to believe, regardless of the facts. You are one of those people.
Jesus said that the kingdom was in your midst. Not that it was inside you.
"In the midst of, surrounded and enveloped by the fleshly thoughts of man."

Yes He is physical but in this way now:
1COR 12:27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
1COR 12:12 For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
1COR 12:20 But now are they many members, yet but one body.
A great mystery indeed!

Mike believes it means a place called heaven,so being in agreement with him you do believe it is talking about a place.
It simply means we have been rescued from the reign of darkness over our lives through the way we carnally thought and translated from that to the reign of Jesus Christ, by becoming Christ minded, no future place talked of here, just a change of state of being.
20You, however, did not come to know Christ that way. 21Surely you heard of him and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. 22You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
If you wouldn't mind, could you tell me what you think it means,no worries if you care not to.

Here's what Mike said:
Quote:
Eternal salvation is being saved from the penalty of sin which is eternal condemnation in the lake of fire. It is about being transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of God (Col 1:13). Eternal salvation is about an eternal relationship with God rather then being eternally separated from God.
I don't read anything about Heaven.

Col. 1
13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
While I agree with your first paragragh, I believe verse 14 shows there's more to it than just a changed life. Redemption means what Mike said.

Mike was quoting that verse in reference to heaven.
