This kind of double think is prevalent among literalists to explain the myriad contradictions . . . rather than eliminate the contradictions by understanding the true nature of God as revealed by Christ. Black is white and white is black . . . because God can do that . . . Bah humbug.
The problem with your way of thinking is you dismiss the parts you don't like, like the flood. You claim some rubbish about "ancient ignorants". Christ did not dismiss this like you do.
The anointing you received from Christ lives in you. You don't need anyone to teach you something else. Instead, Christ's anointing teaches you about everything. His anointing is true and contains no lie. So live in Christ as he taught you to do. 1John 2:27
You're taking 1 John 2:27 out of context. John was addressing relatively spiritually mature believers who knew enough to not be deceived by the false teachers who were saying that Jesus was not the Messiah. In contrast to these believers, the believers in Hebrews 5:12 were told that by now they should have been teachers themselves, but instead they needed to be taught the elementary oracles of God by someone.
The believer is commanded to grow in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:18. That can be done only by learning which requires being taught. That is the purpose of the pastor/teacher as per Ephesians 4:11-16.

I dismiss nothing . . . I interpret the primitive recordings using knowledge not dogma. They were undeniably ignorant, superstitious, savage and primitive . . . that is simply the reality which you choose to ignore to retain their ancient ignorance as a sign of Faith. I do not.

So, in your opinion the ancients were not capable of being instucted by the HS? You might want to ask yourself whether God was able, or not, to speak to folk prior to 33AD.

I say yes. You?
Try to pay attention . . . of course they received God's inspirations (sporadically) . . . that is not the problem. They were too carnal and ignorant to properly interpret what they received in their savage and primitive mindset and superstitious beliefs about God. They did the best they could. We were supposed to do better . . . not stagnate and retain their ancient ignorance as a sign of our Faith.

Jeremiah 1 4The word of the Lord came to me, saying, 5“Before I formed you in the womb I knewa you,
before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” 6“Ah, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am only a child.” 7But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am only a child.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. 8Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord. 9Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “Now, I have put my words in your mouth.10See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.”

But did he say "Magicadoola, midgicaboola . . ." first???::Sigh::
the bible is not my authority. If you take all the bibles away from the earth i still have my faith in christ. i dont depend on the bible to sustain me.
Why is the Bible my authority? There are many reasons. Here is a list of ten.
1). I believe it is the inspired Word of God; given to man, by God, for reproof, correction and doctrine
2). It provides a consistent 'Authority' for Truth, which exceeds human opinion and philosophy
3). It reveals God's nature and character and answers "Why am I here?" and "What is my purpose?"
4). The life-changing power of the Bible throughout history (and in my life) is clear and indisputable.
5). Over 60% of the Bible was originally written as 'future' prophecy ... now accurately fulfilled - (None of the other professed 'holy books' do this. The odds against this accuracy are astronomical).
6). It is a 'divine' convergence of thoughtl that exceeds any earthly explanation; even though it was recorded over 1500 years by 100 'writers' of many cultures and generations.
7). Its majesty and power have survived the test of time against enormous human opposition.
8). I need and desire a consistent, incontrovertable standard of wisdom, truth and righteousness.
9). I've studied and taught the Bible as God's Word for 30+ years and it has never failed me.
10. It is God's unchanging Word of Truth, affirmed over and over by God's Holy Spirit ... to all God seekers who are willing to listen and obey.
No other timeless source of power or wisdom exceeds or rests upon the 'Authority' of God's Word.
If the Bible is NOT your 'authority' in life ..... what or who is?
