We were there when the foundations were laid. Jesus was chosen from the foundations of the world.

Those were angels--not us. God was chastising Job for thinking more highly of himself than he should have. The point is that we weren't there when the foundations of the earth was laid. The angels were. We are ignorant fools if we think we know it all.
