I believe there is no devil. However, in biblical times the devil was used as the symbol of the evil within us. Otherwise, it is hard to imagine there is such as thing as Satan.

If God is EVERYTHING then there cannot be a Satan.

Wrong, Lucifer is not Satan or the Devil. Lucifer is due to a Latin translation of a Babylonian King, that the KJV kept instead of converting to English.

There is no evil, fallen angel known as Lucifer in the Bible, and there is no evil Satan in the Old Testament.

The dualistic Satan as an opponent of God comes from Persian mythology.

those who do inevitably end up serving evil.

Jesus was tempted by the devil and he had no evil in Him. Satan exists. Why do you think God is everything?

I've heard the idea that Satan was being referred to as Lucifer came from the Early Church Fathers Tertullian and Origen and later the word "Lucifer" became more of a name than just a morning star and the KJV writers followed that popular notion.

The cherub angel who is commonly referred to as Lucifer and who is known by his titles of 'Satan' and 'the devil' is quite real. Midway through the Tribulation he will be permanently thrown out of heaven. Yes, he still has access to heaven for the moment.

Revelation 12:7 'And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. And the dragon and his angels waged war, 8] and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven. 9] And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

Jesus was tempted by Satan in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11). There was no evil within Jesus.

In Job 1:6-7 Satan presents himself before the Lord in heaven.

Job 1:6 'Now there was a day when the sons of God (angels) came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. 7] And the Lord said to Satan, ''From where do you come?'' Then Satan answered the Lord and said, ''From roaming about on the earth and walking around on it.''

Jesus told Peter that Satan had demanded permission to sift him like wheat.

Luke 22:31 '"Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat;''

Yes, Satan is quite real. He is a fallen cherub angel who persuaded one third of the angels to rebel against God.

I believe that Satan is the disobedient nature of man. Satan therefore would tend to the things of man - not man to the things of Satan. Also, Satan could not exist apart from man. I believe the very Serpent in the Garden of Eden was a reference to Adam's disobedient behavior speaking to Eve. It is said that Eve even gives the forbidden fruit to Adam who is "WITH HER".

Peter is later called Satan, and the Pharisees are called serpents. Peter was just displaying a disobedient nature when Jesus called him Satan. Jesus called the Pharisees serpents who are preaching essentially a disobedience in their doctrines.

Therefore, when Jesus says He came to destroy the works of the Devil (sin), I believe He was talking directly to me as well. Because I have Satan dwelling in me that must be cast out. In other words (my disobedient nature must be cast out).

Yes, he exists and goes under many names in the Bible, devil, tempter, deciever, satan, prince of the air, prince of tyre etc...
