I believe most people (Saints) who were given the stigmata are no longer living. Most of these Saints didn't look on this as punishment rather as sharing in the suffering of Christ.

Only a few saints received stigmata:

St. Francis of Assisi (in 1224 until his death) St. Catherine of Siena (after making communion in the Church of St. Christina in Pisa, Italy. Padre Pio, an Italian monk. You can probably read about their lives on the internet or go to a Catholic book store and buy the books. These saints lived and died for Christ.

As far as being very Catholic, it is up to you to read more about your faith. There is a little prayer that is under $3.00 that you will amazed you. It's the PIETA prayer booklet. It contains many prayers that I had never heard before. I KNOW that the "Three Very Beautiful Prayers" enabled my Mom to go straight to Heaven.
Ask you aunt and uncle if they know about the booklet, if they don't, buy them one.

We are never too old to learn something about our Faith.
