everytime I read this passage I wonder how they ended up...

it says "they bound themselves under a curse" - how serious was it? could it be lifted?

for we know for sure, they had not killed Paul

When it says they bound themselves under a curse, I think it was of the nature of "May God deal with me ever so severely if I don't..." type of statement.
