You don't have to understand us. Like we don't have to understand your beliefs,
the concept here is this why a Christian sub-forum is here, no prob with me, deal with the moderators on it. If you want to understand us then read it, not
start philisophical threads.
So I guess I'm wondering who is welcome here...

Some of us want to understand you, as well as being able to feel that we are accepted in attempting to do so...

Take gentle care,
-June

You are welcome anywhere, june! I think the purpose of the separate forum IMO was to have a place where Christians could discuss our faith and not feel like someone was gonna jump on the thread and want to challenge our faith and/or ridicule it, ya know? A more peaceful place...

KayKay,
I'd like to jump in on this. Hope I don't offend anyone, but it seems that everyone keeps skirting around the question/answer. I would have to say from what I have read (and I haven't much) is that the forum is meant to be a place for Christians to convene. I was thinking that it is much like the social time that one spends after church service. For us, we have fellowship over donuts and coffee. Sometimes the Men's Club makes breakfast. Families gather and talk about whatever. Maybe something that caught their ear during service. Maybe about the kid's football game. But, sometimes, at least at my church we do get into philosophical debates. (Sort of like the "Good Catholic and pro-choice" thread.) The question that June has asked, and quite frankly I would like to hear an anwer to, is "Who is welcome?" I would guess that Tricky D isn't. Probably because he's atheist. What about the Catholic who is pro-choice? Are they "christian" enough. I've come in and tried to post. I want to be excited about the new sub-forum, but honestly, I don't think I am qualified. Maybe the moderators could just make a list of acceptable members. Maybe we could try an entrance exam. I'm afraid that I'm at a loss also and who is welcome. It's funny, this has really been eating at me since it's inception. I woke up Sunday morning with the Hymn "All are welcome" ringing in my ears. But unfortunately, ALL are not welcome.

Again, sorry for my words, I know that they sound offensive. They are not meant to be. I love you guys. But I don't feel welcome here anymore.

May God bless us all...

Well, it's a dicey subject which Alpha is trying to address and define on thread he just started. Again, for me, it's not "who" is welcome, but rather "what type of discussion" For me, as I said I wanted a place where we could discuss without again, constantly being challenged about the veracity of the Bible, the character of God etc. I thought all that would still be addressed on the parent forum. But this may be what is in Alpha's eyes "the country club mentality." I don't know.

Thanks, Kaykay. I did not mean for it to seem like an attack on you personally. I have seen Alpha's thread and will be waiting for clarification.

(Judges 6:24),

You don't have to understand me June if you want all you have to do is just understand the Word of God, and this is not my personal forum, If you disagree with any sentiments that I share, simply ignore and move on to the next thread like I do,
May God Bless You
