I realize in Genesis God said Satan shall bruise Jesus' "heel" by having him suffer and die.

"And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed. He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel." (Genesis 3:15)

In Matthew it says Jesus would be in the grave exactly three days and three nights
Matthew 12:39-40

And that Jesus would be resurrected from the dead.
Psalm 16:10-11; Psalm 49:15

My first question is:
Did Satan know Jesus was going to die and rise up in exactly 3 days?

It's not about what Satan's Knows.
It's what Satan doesn't want men to know.

He's the father of lies.
Using lies to deceive man from knowing truth.

Satan knows his time is short.

Yeh - it doesn't say anything about Satan or Jesus in Genesis. I don't know what Bible you're reading...

And in case anyone feels so inclined to "educate" me - NO, I don't see some sort of super-secret prophecy here. In fact - I think the Genesis writer would have been a bit more specific if he thought the serpent was Satan (of course, the concept of "Satan" didn't exist when the Gensis author was writing, so that's a moot point).

It's called an etiological story: Why do snakes bite humans, and why are humans scared of snakes? Answer: consult Genesis. Why does the snake have no legs? Answer: consult Genesis. Why do humans have to die? Answer: Consult Genesis. Fun Game! Add your own etiological questions for the Genesis 2-3 Creative Account!

Well, let's put it this way. Satan quoted Psa. 91 to Messiah [well actually he misquoted it but on purpose] so that tells us he knows the Scriptures.

Satan also knew Messiah was the Son of God [note; not God's son, but the Son of God mentioned in the book of Daniel. This again tells us he knows Scripture].

So he would have know this:

The Holy Spirit will come upon you, [Mary]and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God” (Lk. 1:35).

How do we know this? The demons knew who Messiah was:

What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God” (Mk. 1:24)

A few verses later we read “he healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons. And he would not permit the demons to speak, because they knew him” (Mk. 1:34).

So to answer your question, Yes, I believe satan did know, but being the fool that he was, and in his pride, he thought once Messiah was dead, he could somehow thwart God's Plan.

Many read into it.
It tickles the imagination.

Doesn't say exactly. But Satan's actions were all about getting Jesus to sin and disobey the plans of the Father - from the temptation in the wilderness to the temptation from one of the thieves to save Himself from the cross.
