The first one has been in my head for as long as I can remember. The second one has been on my mind more recently. On and off for the past year or so, but more constant the past few months.

Lately, I have been struggling with forgiving others, although I do feel none of us is perfect.

I'm tired of turning the other cheek. What role does forgiveness have in your life?
There is one person in my life I am having trouble forgiving, and no matter how much I want to and how much I pray to God for help in forgiving this person, my human nature kicks in and I have pure hatred for this person because of what they did to me back in 2009 and 2010. My life is in complete shambles because of what this person did and its going to take years to re cooperate. God blessed me with so much at a young age but because of my relationship with this person I threw it all away. I am also struggling with forgiving myself and my part in the situation. That said, I feel forgiving this person will be an important step to getting on with my life. As is, I am an endless cycle of self-loathing and pity partying because of what this person did to me and what it has turned my life into. Months and years are creeping by and I've seen no progress in my life whatsoever. I know this is not what God has for me, but I just can't let it go.

I hope you can find the peace you need to move forward and rebuild your life and to find happiness. Don't let this person rob you of more than he/she already has.

Maybe struggling with forgiveness is a faith issue.
