Is there something in the bible that states this? Does it refer to science? Also , I understand using best judgement in dealing with others , this just stands out because if we just don't have the wisdom to know certain things , why bother trying to figure them out? Anyone familiar with this , what is being referred to. Thank you

There are some verses that come to mind:
Quote:
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
1 Cor. 3.19
and
Quote:
Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
1 Cor. 1.25
and
Quote:
For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
1 Cor. 1.21
Or..
maybe something along these lines:
Quote:
For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.

When we realize how little we truly know, then we are becoming very wise. Our ego sure wants to figure it all out, to KNOW and live from our intellects. Oh, we use our intellects but to KNOW things....we first have to receive that knowledge and understanding. That doesn't come from our intellects or brains, but from another realm.
We are not to "figure things out." As believers, we are to still ourselves, knowing that HE is God and we are not, and in that stillness, wait to be shown, yes intuitively, to get hunches and leadings, then get up and go about our way.
Even in 1 Corinthians 2 continues with Wisdom of the world from natural man will not discern the Mystery of the hidden wisdom , as it is foolishness to natural man the wisdom of God as the spirit of God is not with the natural men of this world in way that natural man can understand ..... So the natural man will have to receive Jesus spirit to understand
