In Revelation 12: 17....``And the dragon was wroth with the women , and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ``.... See this is a challenge of the women of Jesus birth and the followers of Jesus Christ, as there is no power from the Lord were there is no persecution ........ I do not believe that the sabbath is a law of God to be on Saturday , or Friday, or Sunday, as this is legalism , as Jesus say ``the son of Man is the judge of the sabbath and this is not the right of believers to judge others of sin...``Mark 2: 27-28......as long a believers take a day from work to rest and have a holy day to worship the Lord ......Jesus would prefer people repent and receive His spirit , and then take any day where they can to worship the Lord and do that ......where some people do not receive Jesus spirit and end up as scribes or Bible lawyers
If you are not being persecuted, you are not a true Christian.
If you are not led by God's Holy Spirit, you are not a true Christian.
If you do not keep God's Commandments, you are not a true Christian.
Christ kept His Father's Commandments which includes the 7th Day Sabbath and not Sunday.
Read the scriptures carefully and you will see the above is true.
Modern Christianity is false and soon to be destroyed at the Return of Christ.
Maybe, as opposed to trying to rate yourself and others as a "true Christian", or NOT a "true Christian" you could to examine yourself, and see if you are in Christ. You do not become a Christian, let alone a 'true Christian' by rites, rituals, works and sabbath keeping.
Ephesians 2:8 For by graceyou have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Roman 10:9-10 “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”
Christ kept His Father's Commandments which includes the 7th Day Sabbath and not Sunday.
Colossians 2:16-17 - Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day-- things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.
Please be careful about the "rules" (I couldn't think of a better term) before Christ died and after He died and ascended to heaven, because there were changes that took place.
Act 5:32 And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.
You have to believe the Gospel and you have to repent and turn from your sins and obey God.
For your sins are: 1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
The Spiritual Law is the Ten Commandments which are summarized as love to God (the first four) and love to neighbor (the last six) in the two Great Commandments.
As Christ said, you have to keep the commandments to have eternal life.
Mat 19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
Mat 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
Christ speech is plain.
Modern Christianity did away with repentance and obedience to God and His Spiritual Law--the Ten Commandments.
He said specifically to keep the commandments if we are to have eternal life.
True, He said this - but when did He say this? And to whom did He say it?
He was speaking to people alive before He died. So at that time, that was the case. But since He has died and went to the Father, it is now the reception of the Holy Spirit through faith (and not works) in the gospel of Christ that results in eternal life.
And besides that - no one can keep the commandments. Consider these two verses.
Romans 3:23 - for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
James 2:10 - For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.
