Biblical arguments against the legal rights of homosexuals have no basis in law.
We are ethically obligated to allow all consenting couples the right to a civil certificate of what we now call "marriage."
This is civil marriage, not faith-based marriage.
I guess it would make sense to call those certifications we all get from the government something else.
They grant us rights under civil law.
It's unfair to deny those rights to homosexual couples.
What one thinks of homosexuality from a religious point of view would be rendered irrelevant.
If your church didn't wanna marry gay couples? It wouldn't have to.
It is the government denying these legal rights that is the issue here.
