Then quit trying to find some hidden meaning in some verse that might pertain to an event in America. This is what happens when milleniumism is regarded as fact... people knowingly \ unknowingly attempt to predict the end of the world.

Surely you are not suggesting I change my opinions because they irritate you.

But speaking of milleniumism... here is something you may find interesting.

As the last year on the ancient Byzantine/Russian calendar approached, the Orthodox Russian people
became concerned about the future. Holy monks told God's Tsar that the antichrist would arise.

What was the year ?

1492

Sorry, but I totally disagree with your interpretation. However, you are welcome to your fantasies. You will discover that when the Mississippi River starts to flow again normally. Revelation must be read understanding that is about spiritual things, but of course, also the end of the world, judgment Day and the eventual salvation for God's people, damnation for unbelievers, and the end of this world.

There have been many posts in these forums from people who believe in the eventual salvation of all people. I can't understand how someone can read the book of Revelation and come to this conclusion. There is so much about God's wrath being poured out in the world.

I'll pre-millennial with a belief in the Rapture, but I make no attempt to match up current events to end times prophecies, and roll my eyes when others attempt to do so.

The US drought is playing havoc.

Recently a train carrying grain from the Mid-West to Texas derailed at a Marais des Cygnes River bridge.
Some think it might have been caused by the drought causing the earth to shift.

Oh, I see... you think God will rescue you at the last minute, sparing you tribulation.

You might spend a little time reading about the 2000 years of Christian martyrs who suffered and died for their faith.

Another analogy between Cyrus and Christ:

After Cyrus conquered ancient Babylon, he returned a small portion of Judah to Jerusalem
and decreed the temple [that had been destroyed by Babylon & Edom] be rebuilt.

Jesus Christ [who arose from that small portion of Judah] is God's Temple made without hands
who was destroyed [ironically by "converted" Edomites] and rebuilt in three days.

Psalm 137:7 Remember, O LORD, what the Edomites did on the day Jerusalem fell. "Tear it down," they cried, "tear it down to its foundations!"

John 2:19 Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days."

In the Euphrates , one of the oldest churches in Iraq has been pushed out of existences by the Islamic rebels were the Assyrian Christians have left the country or have moved to the north in Kurdistan areas , There are some Christians in Baghdad , but the numbers are now alot less than before the 2003 invasion of American and British forces have open a vacuum which the secular dictators leaders were holding ..... As the result this river of Euphrates represent from this Revelation scripture as the river of God in Iraq is drying up and judgment for this area is less protection of life for this area ... See when you push Jesus out His blessing of His Blood goes away, , so then the devil will take over this authority from God and bring a dry Euphrates , dry of Holy Spirit ....... Then other nation covet the rebellion against their dictators and receive the leap frog spirits from the mouth of the false prophet , and establish a rebellions against Christians in Egypt , and now Syria...... The threat of losing Christians in these area is real , ..... So if we are in these end times then Armageddon War will come in the close years from now , OR this threat is just a form of groaning , where the threats of war sound like end times ?

America-Babylon is supporting Muslims who are persecuting and killing Christians in Iraq, Egypt and now Syria.

But this foreign policy goes back even further, to 1999, when the US [NATO] bombed and killed Orthodox Christians
in order to steal Kosovo from Christian Serbia and give it to the Muslim Albanians. During NATO's war of aggression,
the Serbian Orthodox Church asked for a cease-fire during Orthodox Easter, but US/NATO refused and continued to
bomb Christians during their holy celebration of Christ's resurrection. 13 years later, US/NATO still occupies Kosovo.
Serbia's Holy of Holies.

The Mississippi River is vital to American-Babylonian commerce.

The drought of 2012 has put the Mississippi River level to an historic low,
affecting those who depend upon the flow of the Mississippi River.

Already barges that carry food and other necessities must carry lighter loads
[30% to 40% lighter] and some barges have run aground halting river traffic.

Salt water moving up the Mississippi from the Gulf is endangering the New Orleans water system.
