Christian-bashing
The entertainment industry is ususally openminded. Take a look at this poll, and tell me what you think: POLL: 'Christian-bashing' in entertainment (OneNewsNow.com) (broken link)

Well, it's from the "American Family News Network", which is a strongly Christian & conservative site... so I wouldn't take much stock in their survey, especially when they don't mention who was asked! But to address the issue, I think Christians are no more of a target than other groups, and I could find examples of "bashing" towards anyone. So no, I don't think it's a huge problem in Hollywood - but I'm sure you expect that answer from me.
P.S. No I'm not following you, this is my other regular board.

Quote from the (Christian) American Family News site, with my bolding:
"Editor's Note: Remember, online polls are not scientific surveys, just a quick way to gauge the opinion of that portion of our audience that is willing to participate by answering our questions."
I too would like to see some examples of Hollywood picking on Christians.
Seems to me that over the years, plenty of groups have been both stereotyped as well as bashed.

I don't think it's so much the whole christian worshippers, just the small zealots known as Evangelists, Born Agains, Bible Thumpers; probably due to so many of the big leaders getting caught in hypocritic scandals with stealing donations, sex scandals, perverts in the clergy, etc.
Seems like there has been a trend in the past 15-20 yrs. of small factions of members taking up the arrogant idea that "my God IS the ONLY God".....and his name is "blank"...things like that. How dare certain people feel that they have 'the answer' to Life & Spirituality!

You left out one of the really "big leaders" ~ we'd be remiss if we didn't mention the dramatic number of catholic priests who have molested little boys, with the church paying out millions to settle out of court.....

Yes, Christian-bashing in the entertainment industry which is rampant. Would you like to chime in or just try to be sarcastic?

Not trying to be sarcastic.
I didn't make the connection between your message about Catholics and the ent. industry.
Are you saying that the industry is responsible for people knowing that the Catholic priesthood has more than its share of child molesters?

No. What I wrote was my own addition to HeleenieWeenie's post where catholics were inadvertently left out of the so-called big offenders in the world of Christianity.

OK - but I'm still not getting your point.
You're saying Catholics are another of the "extreme" Christian groups getting bashed? Maybe I don't get HeleenieWeenie's point either.
