I thought it would be nice to share testimonies as this is a great way to see how God has worked in our lives.

I was brought up with my grandparents and stepmother who reminds me of the wicked stepmother in Cinderella. She was a devout Jehovahs Witness. I wasn't aloud to celebrate Christmas or Easter or watch certain shows on telly. I was made to go witnessing door to door at a very young age and when I got to the age of 17 almost old enough to leave home that is just what I did.

I never learnt the love of God but instead had it drummed into my head about Armegedon and demons. I was taught that Jesus was only a man. I would go to the meeings only to feel like I was in prison.

After alot of rebelion and family tragedy, I met my husband and he was given a bible from one of the neighbours. I cringed and didn't want to have anything to do with it. Our neighbour invited us to church and I reluctantly went along with my husband. The first time I sat on the pew I felt an uplifting experience and the bible was open in front of me. The pages actually turned by themselves to Psalm 20 and it has been so special to me since.

I came to learn what real love is like. I met a wonderful lot of people and I came to know God not as someone who was frightening and unloving but completely the opposite. I have learned to thank God for all the things that have happened in my life whether good or bad because I wouldn't be where I am now.
My hubby and I lead the singing at our church and I have learned to have a relationship with Jesus.
I have been a member of a wonderful christian forum called glorytotheking where everyone is so supportive..

Default Thankyou

Thank you for your testimony.

My life has moved from devout believer, to worldly, and back into the potters hands. He never left me... I always felt his presence, even though I did not let the Holy Spirit lead me. As a result I suffered through a divorce, became seperated from God, and found myself just living a "good" , but Godless life.

Well... out of His love... He gave me a good thumping (discipline) and convicted me to return to His fold. I have rededicated myself to His work, and seek His will everyday. I have since found a godly wife, and my 4 children represent God's hands at work. God does love us.

Thank you all for sharing your testimony. It is amazing what our Lord Christ can do in each of our lives. I pray for your walk with Jesus.

I grew in a nondenominational evangelical church. Yet I had some dark years from my late teens to early twenties. I would find myself crying out to God but hearing no answer. I believed, yet I was not witness to the transformation I knew was my inheritance in Christ. I believe things happen in God's timing. Several years later, God delivered me out of the darkness, out of the financial bondage, and taught me to be faithful. I believe God is faithful, even when we don't measure up.

Two years ago I in a serious and devastating car accident that left me with a permanent disability (Spinal Cord Injury). In an instant, my life had changed. I am unable to control my body in the most basic of functions. There are so many things that I used to do for myself that I need to ask for assistance.

Yet my relationship with Christ has not changed. I am reminded that Jesus is the same yesterday, tomorrow and forever. Each day, I choose to turn my mind to things of eternal consequence rather than look critically at the hear and now. I put my future, my hopes, dreams and aspirations in His hands.

Wow, I think your last statement is so true when we bump up against circumstances in this life for which we just have no other answer. We have to "kick it up a notch" as far as our faith goes. (I haven't experienced what you have, but my very beloved 16 year old son, our only child, was killed 6 years ago in a car accident.) Where do you with this kind of thing when life is changed in an instant except to the Lord?

I heard a visiting pastor say one time, "Do you think of yourself as a human who is experiencing a few spiritual experiences or do you think of yourself as a spiritual being who is having a temporary human experience?

Great testimony, jinxor
