Most of what I listed are the major arguments now between churches now and if i multiplied them by each other i couldnt come up with more than 4-500, so i guess if there is 40,000 now, they must argue over the color of the carpets and other petty items.
Simple example would be the Ana-Baptists who split over when Baptism should occur, at what age of accountability...They split into Amish and Mennonite...And if I remember correctly, there exists differences even between each one them...
Good point. Whether there are 800 or 30,000 is really immaterial. There should be one and only one -- the Church Jesus Christ personally established.
The trouble with that is (since we do not now have nor have we ever had any original autographs) no one can know exactly what that even was. There were clear agendas at play in the centuries following...texts were manipulated. Better to go WITHIN as Jesus told us to than to constantly speculate about ancient texts written by men. Just saying...

Do you have ANY documentation whatsoever to suggest that? I've seen you post that stuff before. There is no evidence at all to suggest that we have anything but 99.9% of what the original texts were.
Jesus founded the church at Pentecost. We have the writings of its earliest leaders in the Bible. The fact that you may disagree with them doesn't mean it's not true.
What if my "within" disagrees with what is "within" you? Then what?

I agree with you on scripture. But you must remember that the goal is to get people to distrust God's word so they can then teach something different. It's the same thing that started in the Garden. "Hath God said?"
