Okay this is a thread on sexual immorality now we know that pretty much anything goes in the marriage bed so long as it is mutual and not forced. We also know, according to Jesus Himself, that marriage is between a man and a woman. We also know that any sexual activity outside the proper bonds of marriage is sin. This mean no premarital sex, shacking up, rape, incest, pedophilia, polygamy, prostitution, brothels, and of course homosexuality.

Now lets not make this a thread on homosexulaity. Instead lets focus on what constitutes sexual sin or sexual immorality. I know we may touch on some verses that deal with what many believe to be homosexuality but that is not our focus.

I have shared before that my oldest son is in a sexually immoral relationship. I cannot condone his relationship and neither does he.

Thank you!!! I don't know why but I have been unable to put into the proper words exactly what you just said here. The whole point is that it is ALL sin. I was trying to convey that in the "hell in a handbasket" thread. I believe it was you Robin that stated in another thread (correct me if I'm wrong) when someone asked why you were so focused on homosexuality and you said that you weren't.....it's just that threads on adultery etc. fizzle out very quickly and ones on homosexuality are a very hot and heated topic. Why do you suppose that is??

That's sort of a rhetorical question, because I know why. Adultery and the likes are just as serious as homosexuality, but many sins can be hidden and it's not so much about a lifestyle. However, God calls homosexuality an abomination and destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah BECAUSE of it and other sexual immorality. It's pretty clear how God sees homosexuality and sexual immorality, yet the world is full of it and slamming it in our faces everyday.

Just like another thread started here by a professed homosexual, that's not what they want to hear. This person wanted the view of liberal Christians who embrace homosexuality and even the most loving responses from those who do not embrace it were met with pure hatred. Why do we look to human beings to say it's okay, when God clearly says it IS NOT?? They are projecting onto conservative Christians their hatred for God and His Word because He won't allow the sin or it's partakers to go to heaven. WELL, stop doing it!!!

Plain and simple. Which goes for all mentioned in the following scripture, not just homosexuals. I'm sick of all the projecting......do what God has commanded people and stop blaming the fundamental Christians!!!!!

1 Corinthians 6:9-10
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

And that's just the short list. Check yourselves people. The only way to do that is to follow and heed the Word of God. If you fall under any of the above highlighted categories, you will not inherit the kingdom of God. Remember, pornography is sexual immorality, and worshipping money, things, people, yourself or statues is idolatry.

Are you willfully sinning? Are you more concerned for your own immediate gratification of your short lived desires or are you pleasing God and following His commandments in order to spend eternity with Him?

Tic, toc, tic, toc..............pretty soon the timer is going to go off.

am curious: what do you mean by "neither does he"?
it sounds like you mean he believes his behavior is wrong...?

Yes that is correct, he does believe his behavior is wrong but he is letting his hormones and lust control him.

You are very right. I do not want to single out one sin when we must address them all. The Bible is full of condemnation of sexual immorality and many do not want to hear this. Certain groups want to say the Bible is not clear enough, well lets see; Marriage between one man and one woman and the two become one flesh. Any sex outside of the marriage bonds is sin.

I dont know about you but I choose who I love and I can resist being attracted to others and choose to ba attracted to whom I wish. Are people so narrow minded they can only love a certain person or can only be attracted to someone physically. What about a persons mind, eyes, heart, mannerism. I personally can find beauty in the ugliest and ugliness in the most beautiful. Normally I am attracted to very thin people, male or female but this does not determine who I love. Right now my son is attracted to sex and really does not understand what love entales. he thinks he loves this girl but in truth he is not yet ready for love and even she says this. She would like to put a stop to the sexual aspect and concentrate on the relationship outside of sex.

We must understand that sex and love is a choice and we often mistake sex for love and attraction for love. I am a heterosexual man and I have often openly admited to same sex attraction and even admited to being able to fall in love with a man, but I chose to love a woman and I base my attraction on other than male or female but true inner beauty. My wife is no super model but here true self within her is more beautiful than the hottest super model. She looks nothing like the girls I dated but I love her for who she is and not what she can do for me or even sexual satisfication, as you can tell we have had plenty of that considering we have 4 sons.
