Today while riding on the Blue Ridge Parkway I told my husband I was having a perfect moment. It was one of the those once in a living time feelings, for a while everything in my world was perfect. I was riding on the Parkway in the most beautiful place in the world to me, the fall colors were beautiful, I could hear ( I have having hearing problems), my contacts felt great ( another problem I have been having), I felt really really good, I was enjoying the company of the best husband in the world, it was a perfect moment for me that I will always cherish. I felt so great full to God for being able to enjoy this. Has anyone else ever had a perfect moment you want to share?

Had a similar moment yesterday. The feeling outside was something I really don't know how to describe, other than to say it felt like a "Goldilocks moment", in which things were just right. The temps weren't warm, nor cool. The air was neither dry nor humid. It just made me think about how it must feel in Heaven. I started feeling a calm and peaceful sensation, like all was well with me and God. Oddly enough, it came while I was thinking about my connection to Him, and how I'm no longer repressing my homosexuality and no longer listening to the myriad of voices in the church.

But I digress. I don't want people telling me it was just a delusion.

I was in a park in London. It was evening, dark...I was sitting on a park bench in front of an illuminated pond. There was a swan who kept dipping it's head into the water, presumably to catch fish. Each time the swan's head entered the water, it produced a perfect circle, oval, against the illumination cast by the water...Off in the distance I noticed Big Ben lit up against the night sky. As it began to chime, I was overcome by a feeling of unity and peace that I had never experienced before. Everything "stopped." --It seemed to be the sort of unity that extended beyond just myself, it seemed to somehow entail the universe as a whole, it seemed to encompass far more than just June in the park at night watching the swan and hearing the church bell striking in the distance...

I've never forgotten that night.

I've never forgotten the beauty, that feeling. I have never let go of the memory of that...I have never really mentioned it, talked about it, ever, before...It's seemingly mystical, haunting aspects, qualities...

Total Unity.

I have never forgotten...

The perfect moment I will always remember happened in May of last year. Michelle and I were in Key West sitting on a bench beside the harbor. The weather was warm and wonderful and the light salt breeze was blowing across our faces. A two-masted sailboat was cruising in the distance, we watched it’s silhouette pass before the orange setting sun. An old bi-plane passed overhead, bearing a long banner behind it. I squinted, trying to make out the words. “I wonder what it says?” I asked. And then, she looked at me with those beautiful brown eyes and said, “It might say, ‘Darlene, will you marry me’” ~~sighs blissfully~~

My perfect moment, was when I was a counselor at the Billy Graham Crusade when it was here in Jacksonville,Florida in November of 2000. Nearly all of the members of my church participated and got to see thousand upon thousands of people come to the Lord.It was an honor to give the plan of salvation to the people who came forward and what a moving experience it was. It is an experience I will never forget,I was so proud of my little church with their participation and the weather was pleasant along with serving the Lord which was the greatest part of it all, that it made for the most perfect moment.

It sounds like you are having a great time in North Carolina ILNC, I am so happy for you and your husband

Everytime I meditate and I feel God's presence and his overwhelming divine love and light burn through my heart I have a perfect moment...Then when I start my day and I feel his love acting through me and making me love my brothers as God wanted. I have another perfecto moment.

God bless you everybody

A few weeks ago, my brother (a marine) was home for the first time in over a year. As I hugged him hello, things felt pretty darn perfect.

That's sweet! I'll bet you're really proud of him, huh? Older bro or younger? Are you two close?
