What is funny? The Bible recorded those events, which were not to the guy's credit!

Some people get their fun twisting scriptures. Matthew 8;28,-34,
such is the mind of Satan.

Jesus said ," Be perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect."
It's not an option it is an expectation, a responsibility as a Born of the Spirit of God believer.
Repentance, is turning from self govern, to God's govern.
But one cannot have God's govern with out being born again and filled with the Holy Spirit .
The Holy Spirit gives the believer instruction from God just as Jesus did the disciples .
Not only the hearing instruction from God but obeying him as well one can be perfect in relationship with Him .
But Choosing to walk in ones own knowledge of scriptures choosing for himself what applies and even performing miracles in Jesus name, does not certify one's relationship with God Matthew 7;21,22,23, John 15;
The working of miracles in Jesus name with "His instruction" is where His Lordship is exercised .
On the job your boss does not pay you to do something you choose to do on your own and is not in your job description.
One's relationship with God, is that of Father an son and behaving.
But if your not listening, nor looking for his instruction, there is no relationship, your on your own, merely claiming His name for your own agendas.
Jesus said ,he that is faithful to the end, will be saved.
Jesus said ," the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that throws a net into the sea and having drawn it out picks out what he wants and throws away the bad. "
Jesus said ,Enter the strait gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in there at; Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way , which leads to life , and few there be that find it .
The narrow way is walking in the guidance and tutelage of the Holy Spirit Jesus provided to teach in His place.
There in is one's perfection supported.

Jesus said a lot of things if he has been reported correctly, but it doesn't mean they have any credence!

I can do nothing on my own. I only do what the Father taught me for the One who sent me is with me He has not deserted me because I always do what pleases Him.

I can do nothing on my own, I Judge as I hear and my judgment is righteous because I am not seeking my own will but the will of Him who sent me.

Jesus was said to have "known no sin." That's God's brand of "perfection." But in the Bible, when you see the word "perfection," it doesn't mean that. Strong's defines the Hebrew word as, "Mature in thought and action. Feeling whole. Complete." It's describing a mature person who lives, more or less out of their child-of-God self. Doesn't mean they're perfect in the religious definition of the word. It just means they have a mature heart that's not selfish and knows how to love fairly well.

Adam and Eve are thought to be perfect at first because they hadn't sinned yet. I wouldn't call that perfect at all, because they had no maturity to go with their lack of having sinned yet. Had they had maturity, they never would be sinned in the first place. No sin just means no sin. Not perfection. The ability of maturely approach temptation and not sin is something completely different and what I'd define as mature (AKA "perfect" in the Biblical sense).

Jesus was something beyond those definitions of perfect, having never known sin at all.

Oh, good, another, it doesn't mean what it says, post...

Job was perfect and upright...He walked in all the ways of G-d...

Jesus, on the other hand, got angry, made a whip and hurt people...

Jesus said himself that no one is good.

The flesh cannot be good, Jesus may have been the best person, but even he said that no one was good except the father.

Jesus said that only god is good. It should be god, little g. That is why He said to be perfect and that all those who do good shall rise to live.

The son is god.

As it is written; "I said you are gods, all of you sons of the Most High.

"Rise up O god and judge the earth."

Perfect I believe as a few different meanings.

Perfect in that there is no inherited sin nature equates to- Adam & Eve (the first humans) and the second Adam (Jesus).

Three perfect human beings- all fully human

After the fall, Adam lost the title of perfect
