Meaning the Christians here. Also I'd prefer if this is like people who were irreligious for a significant period of time, not just a few years in college, before converting or "reverting." Possibly even people raised irreligious if there are any.

Note: Inspired by a thread on the atheist/agnostic forum.

30+ years an atheist despite a Catholic upbringing. My epiphany in meditation eliminated my atheism and marked a complete change in my life. It sparked a lifelong quest to explain God to my intellect.

Guys, I think he's asking the opposite: who started out non-religious, but converted later to a religion?

Re-read, JerZ . . . I am a Christian (just not mainstream).

Actually, I was writing at the same time you were hitting "submit," it looks like (2 minutes apart). I hadn't read your post yet.

Interesting, can ask what kind of Christian you are now? Because considering the question (who is Christian now, but was once irreligious) I take it you started fundamentalist, than 20 years atheist, and now apparently some kind of Christian.

I guess the question is confusing. There are many of us who were religous, but not we have come to know who Christ is in us.
not sure if your question is directed to those who were athiests ( like some above) and then became church going folks.
of the question might be for those who were atheist then turned churchy, then were called away from the religions system after God revealed who Christ is in us.
as for me, raised as a holiday catholic. turned churchy, then became a person who trusted that what Christ did was enough. No longer have to do things. I do whatever i do because i feel like it. I no longer have to do anything to earn favor from God. I just walk in the good works prepared before the foundation of the world.

Raised by atheistic parents. Found God in my late teens. Found Christ in my mid 20s.
