Multitudes will fall away when persecution starts in America. Some fall away because their wife or husband fall away. Some fall away over porn or alcohol. How much more when they were taught they wont have to suffer or maybe die for Yeshua....and then they find themselves and their family told if they refuse the mark they cannot buy or sell.

We all have 'free will'. Each will have to make their own choice.
My church has been doing a series of Sunday School lessons on the end times or eschatology. What ever view you hold, it's nothing to be divided over or even debate. It's just that I am curious about anyone's reasoning behind the view that you have because I never really studied eschatology enough to know where I stood.
But after finding out that there are 4 basic views, and carefully studying those 4 views, I have come to the conclusion that I hold to the traditional church's position that has been held for about 150 years. Jesus will return to rapture his church or believers as well as ressurrect those believers who are dead; the Great Tribulation happens, then after the Great Tribulation, the church returns with Jesus as He sets up his 1000 year or millennium kingdom on earth, and finally the great white throne judgment happens for those who rejected Him and those who have rejected Him are casted into the Lake of fire. Then we who are believers will be in the new heaven and earth with God and Jesus forever. So I hold the pre-tribulation/premillennialist view.
Yes, I believe in this view too. However, allot of people still differ in how to view end times coming together.
Sorry greg, but I don't agree. Working in a soup kitchen might help feed people for one meal. But doctrine/word of God is of utmost importance, because only through the word of God can people know the truth, the true God and the way of salvation. Even a little false doctrine can destroy faith, so doctrine is very important.

Yeah, I have heard that canned response for 40+ years. I'm not a salvation by "works" person, but by doing so it has allowed me to share the Word with many. Some listened, some didn't. But even when they didn't I like to think I made a difference in their lives. If not, I just move on knowing I did what the Lord asked.
On doctrine.

Why Christians spend so much time discussing this. Does knowing matter?
You probably would do much more for humankind working at a soup kitchen instead of the hours you all put in discussing this topic.
Why? Because historically believers have wanted a sneak peek about knowing thing that are hidden, things like future events, which is none of their business as far as God was concerned.
For example:
Daniel was shown by God about the end times (Daniel 12).
Daniel asks:
"I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, ' My lord, what will the outcome of all this be? ' Daniel 12:8
The reply:
He replied, “Go your way, Daniel, ..... “As for you, go your way till the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance.”
The disciples asked the same basic question as Daniel:
“Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?”
Jesus' reply was basically the same to Daniel:
“It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority"
Millennialism is the modern form of desiring to know what the outcome of all this will be.
It is the Satanic peering into God's domain, to which he says "Go your way".
