Let me clarify. In my view, going to the movies would satisfy the same need the same way, just with a bigger screen. It's practically the same event. Watching strippers = not the same event as using your imagination or watching your wife strip in front of you because you're about to have sex.

That's my two cents on it, anyway. Feel free to close with your own.

Life does not have to be solely about satisfaction of our moment to moment impulses. It can also simply be about --having-- those impulses.
So you are now saying that going to a strip show is the same as watching a cookery show.
When you "as a species" do you mean I hope your kind of "species" ,the hopelessly carnal ones who are on their way to becoming beasts ? Is that the kind you mean ?
While not being affected much, as a european by simple nudity, I know that obsession with sex ,or treatment of others bodies for your stimulation ,is the surest way to lose your place on the higher path .

In ancient Indian culture, death, corruption and sexual long term misuse were off the same order .
I thought you might like to know, that not only the bible considers it dangerous for the soul when not repented seriously, but all advanced cultures did .

It is not against the 10 Commandments.

Taking virgins against their will and forcing them to marry the ugly guys with lots of back hair was permitted

You probably won't die during the performance and can say a quick "I'm sorry" afterwards and be more set than the Hindu down the street who feeds the poor, gives all his money to charity instead of strippers and you will still go to heaven and he'll burn for eternity... so you got that going for you.

Go for it.

And there you are simply moving the goal posts. I gave an explanation of why people go to strippers. Now you want me to explain why they would choose stripper "in particular" over any other option. Thats a different thing. As I said above why would someone choose the cinema over reading a book? A sit on the beach instead of a walk in the park. We have many paths to our chosen ends - no one needs to justify any one over the other.

My explanation was not intended to explain why people go to strippers in particular. I instead was explaining why people go to them _at all_.

Not "the same" as - but highly similar. We as a species (Human since you asked - not sure what species you think you are) of course enjoy the satisfaction of our desires. We love sex. We love to eat. And so on.

But we also seem to enjoy something other species rarely do - if at all - which is that we also enjoy __having__ those desires. We stimulate them even with no expectation or desire to satisfy them. We watch shows about food to stimulate our desire to eat. We watch strippers and porn to stimulate our sexual desire. We watch horror and thriller movies to stimulate our desire to escape pain and fear.

In other words __YOUR__ path which you are subjectively and self servingly labeling "Higher" for no obvious reason other than it is your one.

Me personally, I will not have any at mines when I have one.
I think it's a great idea!

Bachelor party is a night of "freedom" before entering marriage according to wikipedia.
The whole Bachelor party concept is contradicting to what a marriage should be according to the Bible.
Bachelor party is just another excuse to become a hedonist.

Naturally, a Christian should want to avoid such parties that will most likely involve Vegas, alcohol, strippers, gambling, etc.

Saying you want to go to a Bachelor party well knowing what it involves is just using your soon-to-be married friend as an excuse to attend the party. Bachelor party is not a important or beneficial aspect to marriage.

"Whats important is the matters of the heart."

I didnt have a wild one with strippers and getting drunk and half the people ended up not coming when they found out it would be a low key type of party, so being a good Christians without a wild bachelor party will usually endup with half the people you invite as no shows.

Default What if?

Look at it this way- you may not think it's a problem, but if Jesus were with you in the flesh- would you ask him to tag along with you? If you wouldn't do something if He were physically present with you, then that answers it.
