Default More Wonders of God's Creation: Comets!

There is a thread on the Alaska forum where somebody reported seeing the comet "Holmes". Tonight was totally clear, so I thought I would try. It's beautiful! It does not look like any other comet I've ever seen: it's ROUND with NO tail! And it's YELLOW! I am always awe-struck whenever I look at the stars, planets, and comets....as far as I am concerned God is the PERFECT creator! His handiwork is so utterly amazing....
Anyway, here's the link to that thread:

If you can find a place away from the bright city lights (like out in the country somewhere) you should be able to see it.
I'm going back outside to look again...

Bud

Looking at a comet can be a very humbling experience. I remember seeing Comet Hale-Bopp in '97, and I read about how fast it was traveling through space at the time we were able to see it - I don't recall how fast, but it was something like 100,000 MPH - and it didn't even appear to be moving at all! It made me realize just how far away it was, and for it to be going that fast without even appearing to be moving.... It was ethereal. It makes you realize just how small we are in the universe.
