He loves righteousness!

Psa 11:5 The LORD tests the righteous, But the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates.
Psa 11:6 Upon the wicked He will rain coals; Fire and brimstone and a burning wind Shall be the portion of their cup.
Psa 11:7 For the LORD is righteous, He loves righteousness; His countenance beholds the upright.

Today in our modern society we can see a great difference between the righteous and the wicked, but as you look you can clearly see that evil, and wickedness rules this world and any good coming out of it is usually dead outer good works the apostate church and world loves to promote.
You also see many vile and godless people and organizations promoting themselves by giving tons of money or supplies to help others in need, and also show that they have heart and also to win the respect of their society bent on feeling good by doing good, even though they are still carnal and wicked in their heart.
But what does the Lord consider righteousness? Who does He declare righteous? And what does He expect from His creation as to being right before Him?
These questions can be directly answered through His powerful word, and His powerful warnings coming from the word of God, where a heart for Him is paramount, a heart made pure through repentance and faith, cleansed and purged of all dead works to serve Him in reverence and Godly fear!.
But as the psalmist says, the wicked are the ones who think they are righteous because they do some good deeds, and then live a vile godless life, dead to God and His word, and doing absolutely nothing to change the heart of man, where this wickedness has to be purged out through the repentance process!

Isa 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Isa 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Does God love those who are dead to Him in their heart, and are honoring Him with their lips, as they either deny Him in all they think, do and say, or attend the church organization weekly, sitting under the strong delusion, doing many good outer works while they and their family are still wicked and carnal in their heart and mind?

Psa 146:8 The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous:
Psa 146:9 The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.
Psa 146:10 The LORD shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the LORD.

Tommy

PS. I am not saying giving, and helping others is wrong in any way, but I believe as we are called or led to give we should use great discernment and wisdom, making sure we also give the truth that transforms.

It seems that in each successive generation (and also historically speaking), the actual living standard for what is considered 'righteous' and 'unrighteous' ... declines. Over the past 30-40 years, it seems like that which was considered 'unrighteous' is now embraced as 'righteous' ... and today, it's difficult to find a consensus for 'unrighteousness.'

IMO, this phenomenon is occurring at much quicker intervals than in the past, due to today's almost immediate information communication. I suspect that we will see a similar decline and switch again within the next 10-20 years. In fact, this is likely the increasing 'birth pains' spoken of in the Bible during the 'Last Days.'

Has God's love for mankind changed as the world's standard of 'righteousness' has declined. I think not, since God is hardly 'surprised' by this great 'falling away' ... either individually or collectively. However, the 'Day of the Lord' has never been closer than now ... along with the time when God's 'righteous' and those who hate and rebel against God ... will be eternally separated.
