How dare you say those words against the Baptist church. The catholic church is the most horrifying abomination of the Christian faith on the face of this world. Mary worship, beads, statues, sanctification processes and the disqualification of God's grace to truth seekers is all an abomination in God's eyes. Catholicism knows nothing of the grace of God. You trust your works and don't care at all for the once and for all sacrifice of Jesus Christ. By HIS obedience are we made righteous in the eyes of God! The catholic church robs Jesus of His glory and perverts His grace to the world.

Genuflecting is a moot point for us Muslims. No pews in a Mosque.

We do get a bit of a work out during our obligatory prayers. To a non-Muslim it probably appears to be calisthenics.

Listening to haters? My rebuke is my own. I do not listen to condemnation of any kind. I am simply defending my faith and the truth of the gospel.

Does the truth of the gospel say to denigrate other people's beliefs?

However, our sitting posistion is very similar to the Lotus Position and if the Imam decides to recite all of Surah Baquerah it will be for at least an hour and a half.

But typically the prayer only lasts 10-15 minutes. Our 5 daily prayers can consist of from 2 to 4 Sunnah Rakkats, 2 to 4 Fard and 2 to 4 Nafl although many of us only do the Sunnah Rakkats, a Rakkat consists of one Qur'an recitation which is either all of one short Surah or a minimum of 9 ayyats from a long one. We sit during the Qur'an recitation.

So theoretically if the Imam decides to do all the Rakkats for Maghreb Prayer and chooses to recite the longest Surat (Plural of Surah) we could be sitting for 6 hours or longer.

It really takes an exceptional Imam to recite a long Surah, as the recitation has to be from memory and not read.

But relating this to the OP Catholics are not the only ones who incorporate physical motions in with the worship. They are not even unique in Genuflecting as you will find that among some Anglicans, Lutherans, Episcopalians, Orthodox, Coptic and probably others.

Well, bless your heart. There is nothing Christian about what Baptists (like you) preach.
